I also use it. Saves a lot of real estate in my toolbar area. What it does not (currently) contain from the native SU tools (at least that I would use) are: Google toolbar Sandbox tools Section toolbar Solid tools (this is later than the plugin itself anyway) It does contain a bunch of tools that otherwise would not have buttons like toggle hidden geometry, profiles, endpoints, edges by colour, perspective/parallel view etc. I rarely use these to remember a shortcut but often enough to have them at hand and no need to dig into the menus. Cheers, Gai. I will post in the forum when I get chance. Thanks for your input.

You may have to construct some Scenes that will set the camera square on to the orientations you desire. And, I thought that there was at least one camera control plugin that could do this? I assume that Parallel Projection could be applied to each scene?

.....

Yes! That was it! The brick! Thank you so very much!

Cool thanks. I'll give that a try. I did do somethingl ike this, but it ended up getting kind of messy.

Can you figure out the way to do yourself from the step by step instructions (they re not too detailed) or should I explain more?

I can see your point. Engineers often haven't a lot of creativity and sensitivity when it comes to restorations.

Select only the edge that needs to move and use the Move tool to lift it up. So in the case of your A-frame and assuming you've drawn a simple box and added a line for the ridge. Select that ridge line and move it straight up.

Thanks again for the information guys, really interesting to know.

@solo said: Wondering is there would be a way to create a ruby that could take a model or a selection of faces and turn all polys into quads? This would really help me for one to create smooth lower poly meshes. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=33895&p=297883#p297883

Hi folks. If you want to quickly unhide all edges, you can also use Menu Edit --> Unhide --> All. Just ideas.

Hi folks. In some cases, the Scale Tool will change the size of items that you dont want to change. The Move Tool can be used to alleviate this problem. See attached SU file for ideas. Bracket.skp

Sketchyphisics is one solution ,but probably the most difficult. http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=5978e831481551f7c5d54ad137209c7f Tip:search for gears one the 3D-warehouse Bep

Anti-aliasing is probably the worst performance killer when exporting.

Did you perhaps download any of the extra materials packs for SU6?

@winesellar10 said: @gaieus said: What you can download there are the profiles themselves. They (their curves) might be welded (there is a weld plugin) but I am not sure. They are best used with the Follow me tool Thanks Gaieus, I am still working on figuring out the follow me tool, but I can see how that would be the best use for those profiles My "Follow me tool" link above goes to the GSU Help article on it. It is really not that hard to figure it out...

I couldn't even find mention of it in the docs for the Move tool. http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=94859 Oops nevermind, it's right there, although it doesn't specifically mention moving points: http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=94860

Thanks Gaieus, that looks like the solution I'm looking for, Happy New Year to you.
