I need to export a 2d plan view with dimensions but they are too big in relation to the plan. Is there some way of reducing the text size? To export the plan parts and patch them together is laborious and surely the worst way of doing it

Hi Kurma (and welcome back πŸ˜‰ )

Open Window > Model info and under the dimensions tab, select Font. There set it to height (instead of pt) and experiment with the size until you like it.

When set, press the "select all..." button then the "update..." button.

Thanks - you are on the ball πŸ˜„ Sketchup looks deceptively simple - there is an awful lot under the hood.

When selecting the jpg export format, there is an "Options" button at the bottom right. Only your system memory is the limit what you can export (theoretically up to 9999 x 9999 pixels)

Is there a way to set the resolution of the exported jpeg file? The dimensions sizes are now okay but the poor resolution makes them unreadable.

Never mind - I got the answer - the export image dialog box contains an option for changing the resolution.

Aha - always one step ahead of you. I could live with that as long as it wasn't rubbed in my nose.
