@box said: Clipping doesn't occur during scaling, it's one of those things that jump out at you when you least expect it and it can be quite difficult to find the reason. Have a look at this model and see what happens when you try to orbit around it. This is because this simple cube is 11km from the origin. Thanks for the demo, Box. I'll definitely keep that in mind in the future. I don't believe that was the cause or behaviour of the previous issue but, now that I've used the tape measure and this is no longer an issue, I'm not keen on replicating the bug - I'm having enough trouble trying to replicate successful practices!

It would be nice if it did but to do that requires more, shorter strokes. Make sure your style includes all seven stroke lengths.

What cotty said is the easiest or you can create two lines and use Joint Push&Pull plugin to push the surface down. For the outer edge I believe follow me would work or you can try Round Corner plugin .

@box said: If you open an empty SU file and insert Roof, you will have a component called Roof with a sub-component called Tile inside it. It's actually simpler than I have written it. Yes, that worked! I'm not sure I understand how but I can work on it. It'll come to me eventually. Thanks!

@box said: Make sure you are deleting the correct ones and that you don't have a second plugin folder. The default location for SU2014 is C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins Box, thank you. I didn't think to look in C:\Users\. I had only looked in the place where I installed the program and deleted the plugin, but it kept reappearing.

@pcmoor said: ..... Thankyou. I had a feeling that might have been where my issue was. It will help a lot as I have fencing and everything to do and DC should speed the process up. I've attached the kerb in action. [image: dZFh_f1circuit.jpg]

Yes, ruby does have a modulo operator - I said Dynamic Components doesn't provide a modulus function.

@kdarvell said: The list of folders automatically presented consists of the first level of the structure on my drive and three "recently used" folders, these 3 never change. not exactly what you're looking for but in response to that ^ part.. it sounds like you want more options in the save as dialog.. click the button: [image: r7Yx_ScreenShot2014-10-28at12.37.37AM.png] .... you'll get an expanded version with better access to all the drives/folders: [image: rhDR_ScreenShot2014-10-28at12.43.24AM.png] further, you might want to consider using the tags feature of osx.. create a sketchup tag (or whatever) and just apply that when saving a file.. it doesn't really matter where it goes because you can just click on the sketchup tag in finder and see all of them (or move all of them etc..)

SketchUP will not import some DWG information such as text, hatching dimensions, complex surfaces or dynamic blocks. Also, any information on the layouts are ignored. Finally, curves are faceted when importing to SKUP.

Some plugins are helper files used by others so you need to be a bit aware of what you are actually removing. If you use the uninstall feature of Sketchucation tools it renames the files to .rbx therefore disabling them. Like most things computer related it helps to keep things around until you are sure they aren't needed. You'll know at the next startup if anything really obvious needs to be reinstalled, but there may be other error that won't show until you actually try to use a plugin that needs a specific helper file. Eventually you could remove all .rbx files if you really need the space. Tig could give you much more info on this. I'd guess the other plugin folder has been created by a Renderer or some such plugin that installs from an exe file. What are the plugins in it? Easiest way to check if you can move the file to your main one is, Copy the files to the main plugins and rename the superfluous folder so it won't be recognised. Open SU and see if the three plugins function, if they do problem solved. The @Last Shapes plugin is very old and doesn't work with 2014, there is a second newer version available in the Pluginstore and the Extension warehouse. http://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=jwm_shapes
