We will need to see a screenshot of your render settings. How are you setting up your IR and LC for animation? Does you model render a still exposed correctly with the HDRI sky?

My apologies, but that doesn't look very realistic to me at all. You shouldn't have the need to repeat an HDRI tiling. They are created to be used as a spherical environment set 1 to 1. The best way to achieve the most realistic results would be to have a photo taken at the same time of day and location as your render and place it in your background in post. Here is a great site for getting background photos as well as textures. http://www.cgtextures.com/

Just increase the gamma value of the image which is applied to the chair. Take new Standard material in the V-ray Material window. Then in the diffuse panel, click on the options button which will be indicated by "m". And then click on the none (selection option). then select "TexBitmap" from the dropdown options. On the right panel under section BitmapBuffer. select the image Image you want to apply. And then under the file option you will see the gamma option. just change it with the variation of satisfy result.

The "Ruby Console" is 'built-in' to SketchUp, it's always available... so use: Sketchup Menu > Window > **Ruby Console**... BUT, before asking such simple questions, please try to learn to use some of the myriad of Help files and search options that Sketchup offers - it clearly explains this particular issue here, when used with a with an search for 'open Ruby Console'... http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/search.py?hl=en&ctx=en%3Asearchbox&query=open+Ruby+Console&oq=open+Ruby+Console&gs_l=partner.3...1565.1899.0.2148.3.3.0.0.0.0.63.179.3.3.0.gsnos%2Cn%3D13..0.0.313j48989j3j2..1ac.1.YGB9iEqjChI We're here to help on the more awkward stuff

Normal maps work in 2.0 Taken from another forum... "Normal maps are just bump maps that allow for the appearance of a bump in any normal direction, not just at the normal. That's the problem with bump maps - everything appears to come "out" of the bump at exactly 90 degrees to the surface of the poly. That's why normal maps are full colour - the three colour channels correspond to the local XYZ space, as opposed to the single channel for bumps."

there are various causes for this to appen. try exit the application and restart.. then try to ovverride materials.. and also you should give more information about your model, materials etc.. anyway there are a lot of discussions about this.. http://sketchucation.com/forums/search.php?keywords=encountered+error%28s%29+while+trying+to+render+error+log+details&fid%5B0%5D=322

lejzidejzi - 1.49.02 was never released, and is a pirated version. Please upgrade to the latest version of V-Ray, in order to get access to a 64bit version of our product. The 4gb patch that you guys are talking about, just turns on LARGEADDRESSAWARE, which is on by default in SketchUp 2014 or later. SketchUp 7,8, and 2013 did not have this turned on, and in that case, this patch could hack the SketchUp executable to access up to 4gb of memory (golf clap), but the 64bit version can access more memory than any workstation can possibly have for the next 5 years. Please do not attempt to hack the very outdated 1.49.02 with this patch, it's dangerous, and it shouldn't change anything at all if you're using a version of SketchUp that was made in the past 2 years.

@andybot said: um, silly question, but are you trying to render a line in vray? If you are, you need to give it a face. Vray doesn't render lines, no matter what material you give it. You could also share your test file and maybe the answer is in there. lol no i wasn't trying to render a line thats why i was using toon material

Open the vray for sketchup option. Under "Camera" Roll-out go through the 'CameraPhyical' Then check the 'Zoom Factor' option. It should be 1 if we dont V-ray to zoom the view. 1 is default value.
