Try to create a new generic material, and then use this image in the Opacity row. The image should be transparent. Or in the Diffuse row of that image, try to check/uncheck "diffuse map alpha as transparency", below advanced options. Thanks.

Key rotate uses component center, not component base to rotate. Also, I don't know how to open and edit plugin codes - is it hard to learn? EDIT: I managed to change the rotation, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the point of rotation from group/component center to its base. Apparently need to rewrite this line: pt = e.bounds.center

Use fur for carpets man! - displacement is not worth it. Fur is 1000X faster and better for this application. I try to stay away from displacement altogether honestly. I'd been trying FRedo Animator + Vray, but I have issue on the last stage in creating the video. Vray stops at first frame and does not continue anymore to next frames, Animator seems to continue but also seems never ending on Frame 1. I have a feeling something wrong in my Vray setting. Please help, I am patiently troubleshooting now for days and nothing seems to work. Appreciate all the help.
