@mitcorb said: I think the tool is aligning with the nearest segment of the circle that forms the cylinder, since you mentioned that 7.5 degree offset. Again, this is just a guess. This is correct. Unfortunately, for symetrical shapes like circles, this may not represent the intuitive orientation. I am afraid there is no magic fix in the general case. The best is simply to orient the box manually to the desired direction (click on an edge in the model, or using the arrows for aligning on model axes). Fredo

That was actually the color the customer picked. I realized after I recorded it that it's harder to see the lines... It probably looks better in this picture.... https://picasaweb.google.com/114037787353191392780/Watermarked#5570031683644505650

We seem to be getting a real variety here with group-naming plugins: We have Thom's basic group-naming plugin at http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=23582 and Jim's plugin at http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?t=9318 which adds the drop-down list capability This one makes the layer name the same as the group name.

@enzay said: from what I've read it seems limited to scenes and the number of components. What I'm looking to do is animate, say a bridge, being put together from components. Not just appearing with layers, but the pieces flying in from "off screen" . Either Proper Animation or Keyframe Animation can do this for you. Easy. There's no limit like you say. Only limit is if user doesn't learn to use the tool. See animation made above with Proper Animation, or see this video with Keyframe. @tig said: Get the latest version of k_tools.rb - this has various tools that do what you want including 3d graph/forms from equations... here's a link to v5 http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_details.php?id=210 Didier's 'Depot' has many scripts - between the Plugins here, the Depot, Smustard and Jim's Blog you ca find most scripts available to download - or at least links to them... thanks a lot, that's exactly what i was looking for!

Hi, @unknownuser said: I noticed that you still have folders for old versions of my plugins (for instance you have FREDOSCALE_Dir_20 and FREDOSCALE_Dir_21, same for LIBFREDO6_Dir, TOS_Dir, ...). Thanks Fredo for the hint. I had overlooked. Charly

You can of course use the type of data prepared for the 'Generate Report' and make that into some 'screen text'... There are several examples of scripts around that 'apply' screen-text, and of course even more like ComponentReporter++ that can shown you how to extract more than enough data for you to use... All you need to do is combine the necessary bits of both coding examples and you have it - I suggest top left rather than bottom right since the length and number of lines can be more readily accommodated...

It would help if you could point to some specifications for the file format.
