Hi Whaat, I will try to explain: When making a 3d model of a building, I have a 'fixed' idea what I see as the length (x) , width(y) and height(z). I use your plugin to build all kinds of building parts(see pic). Some of them are on multiple axes (the wall for instance, partly aligned with x and partly with y axis). Sometimes the result of profile builder needs a little extra moving of edges / faces afterwards (see foundations). Because of the 'fixed' idea about x/y/z during modelling, the 'mis-alignment' of the axes in the profile builder groups, causes a problem when 'automatically' pressing the arrow keys to force movement in one axes. So, in short: it causes a few seconds hick-up in my modelling flow. I build a profile, go into the group, select a face and 'automatically' press an arrow key and start trying to move the face... turns out its a different axes.. few seconds hick-up. Only changing the z axes to the world axes doesn't help me. Totally aligning to the world axes does. Just a small 'problem' to me though - at the moment I immediately explode and recreate the group after creation of a profile but for me, it would be nice if it could be fixed. regards, Max [image: 1AXa_pbAxes.jpg]

Thanks for the tips guys. Somehow, I managed to use Sketchup for years without using Glue to Faces. And sincerely, I don´t know what I am doing wrong. I create the component as "glue to" set the axis I think correctly, and yet and copying and pasting, the component doest glue to the face. **Anyway, I solved my problem for now with a plugin... Chris Fulmers "Components Onto Faces". The plugin has placed one copy of the component at each of the glass pane faces (the glass panes are not groups nor components, so I can select all faces at the same time) all in the same height and perpendicular to the face. So I just deleted the components that werent needed (left the ones at approximate correct distance to left and right borders of the panels) and selected them all and corrected their height.** I had checked Chris Fulmer plugin before (I already had it) when thinking on how to solve my problem, but I had not thought about this solution. Btw, I am not the architect, I am just doing the 3D. I told the architect that having each glass panel customized would be a pain in the ass, but he wanted that way because apparently the client wanted that way (client probably has not seen the cost yet), so I am not in a position to enforce logic in this case. I think it will look better in the 3D but in the end (after trying to minimize costs) they will change to flat panels and maybe a few ones curved for smaller curves. Thanks.

Thanks.. but are you trying to get closer to RHINO MAKE 2D command?? If you work a litle bit more, you gone win on this. I which you could add choose layers when projection are done, because it is very dificult to diference VIEW LINES from a CUT Line. And try to get better performance, because i try it on a small example and it took like 1 minuto do complete. (and i have a great machine workstation and SU 2015 x64bits) Thanks

Ah - I see. Yea tapping into the handles of applications like that will usually be fragile and one usually need a good amount of error handling.

Wow this is just what I was asking for just the other week, but no one who answered seemed to remember it. Maybe it is just my machine but backing out of components is a PITA. So slow sometimes. Thanks guys for creating and posting this! Now for the opposite (key command)+click on an entity inside a component to open (edit) that entity's component (/group) to raw geometry level.
