You need to add a map to your diffuse layer so that V-Ray can get the UVW information to apply the material properly.

Youll need to pack the scene and share it with any other designer on a Mac. To do this you can go to Extensions> V-Ray> Pack scene. V-Ray will collect all necessary assets and then place them in a local folder. This is the best way to share the file with another user.

ah, didn't realize the aperture override doesn't mean the same thing as in the physical camera. That aperture number is only available to be adjusted when the physical camera is turned off. Also, I believe that tutorial is for an older version of vray. It used to be that you could use the override with phys camera turned on... several versions ago.

I fixed it!!!! next to the 'reflection/refraction (background)' option, i've set the number to 1 (instead of 10).

I don't use vray, just trying to help you find a way out, by process of elimination... can the shop or glasses be made a proxy? john

you may be using some old vismat materials where the diffuse texture is not in the diffuse layer. Add the texture into the diffuse layer and it will show up in the SU materials.

Has anyone had any success in figuring out how to fix this issue with VRAY and SU 2015? I have used photo match to setup multiple camera views.

I have the same problem... I'm working on vray 2.0 for sketchup 2014 and it runs fine... I guess the problem is vray 2.0 for 2015 version itself, default light in vfs2 2014 is working

Thanks for the info Majid..This simlab plugin works perfect, things exports to skp format in seconds. I tried exporting one flower from our evermotion archmodels. Once i open the skp file, It contains over 123000 faces! and file is +20MB for one flower! You are right Valerostudio -I guess this is where vray proxy will come in handy.

Hi PPGiorgio, A number of things can result in the light not being emitted. I have a couple of suggestions that you can try. Kindly move the rectangular light a little bit away from the object that is supposed to be the light source e.g bulb , and see if you can see the light is emitting. Sometimes you might have to double click the rectangular light and perform a "reverse face" with your right-click context menu to get the white side of the face drawn,i.e the light to face downwards so that you can see the light. 3.just make sure the rectangular light is not on a layer you have probably turn off ,and also if you have scenes setup for your render ,please update them before you do another test render 4.rectangular light is not difficult to setup ,to see a sample setup go to http://help.chaosgroup.com/ . 5.Screen capture your rectangular light settings and paste it here so that the gurus on this platform can help

Thank for your comments, guys. V-Ray is working now. What I did was un-installing all my plugins and installing only V-Ray, then slowly add back one by one all the other plugins. I believe there is a conflict between V-Ray and one or a few of the plugins, although I don't know which ones. Have a great day! _KN
