Is there any plugin that anyone knows of to render sections with vray and sketchup 15? Been trying to find plugins but the ones for older versions of sketchup aren't working for 15...so frustrating 😞

Zorro 2 will let you render sections of the building... well sort of... you'll finish up rendering sections of half the building actually, as it slices the building in the section cut and erases the rest.

You should be really careful when using it and always save your file apart to slice it in half... The other problem is that those sections will have light pouring in from the section itself, exactly as it happens in sketchup.

a simple solution for cutaway lighting is to increase the sun size to something like 20. That way you get nice and soft shadows. (also increase shadow subdivisions for the sun settings to 32 from the default 😎

Ok. So when I download zorro what folder do I put it in? Because I've put it in the plug-ins folder and it still doesn't seem to work.

Don't you have sketchucation's plugin store?

            Install it through there!

you need to add a section in your model. With zorro installed, you can then right-click on the section, and there is an option for "slice model at section"

Amazing thanks guys! Is there a plugin to fill the gaps in the geometries created by the section?
