If you have not upgraded to the latest version of 2013 you could be suffering from the over-docking toolbars mess. The newer versions of 2013 fixed this early glitch. What happens is the toolbar activates but it's docked in the topbar underneath some other toolbar[s]. Dragging all of these off so they float, then docking them as desired will fix it. If this is not the case... have you being using two monitors or changed screen resolution. This can sometimes cause toolbars to appear 'off-screen'... You can try using the Toolbar dialog's Reset on that just that toolbar ?

Also try removing all plugins and restarting.

Having a similar problem here. It started while trying to draw a triangle onto a flat surface to copy/flip/paste as the basis of a dormer on a house. After laying out the coordinates with Tape Tool, I drew out the first right triangle. The guides shifted as though it was slightly under the surface, and fazed in and out as I navigated. When I attempted to copy, the entire surface was highlighted. This is an enclosed geometry issue. I sent all layers to the default and attempted again to confirm. Same problem. I then noticed that the guide was shifting not just in and out of view, but to the left and right of the line drawn onto the guide. The issue seems to be progressive. I just upgraded from A 8800GTS 512m to a 650ti 2g about 2 weeks ago and have completed about 15 projects maxing at about 6000kb. This only begun last week, and is occuring in the begining of the project at about 2000kb.

I already solved this issue. I just downgrade to Sketchup 6 and I didn't yet get this problems, at least, in that frequency.

Orientation kinda matters because it could inference along one of the model's axis lines (red, green, or blue) or if it is close to one of these axis lines it may snap to it rather than the point you are trying to inference to. Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening? Its obviously not an isolated issue.

Yes, the tick box is tickable on Mac but not on PC. Since it doesn't seem to do anything it might as well be grayed out. Maybe it's a combination. Click it three times while in Monochrome, twice while in Hidden Line, Switch to X-ray, Switch back to Hidden Line, tick the box again... I doubt it though. I think it is either a bug or a shortcoming of OpenGL.

Have you recently installed new/updated plugins ? Do you still get the message with Plugins disabled ? Have you tried 'Repairing' the Sketchup installation using the Control Panel > Programs and Features... ?

Hi Dave, Must be electron magic. It has happened to me on several occasions on two separate models. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be quite annoying. I found that the autosave feature was very useful in these instances. I'll keep an eye on it, and I'll start reporting this to the Sketchup folks. Thanks for your help!

Hi Yehonatan, sorry you're having troubles. This is not something we're hearing complaints about so far. But you're seeing it on more than one computer? If you remove all plugins does it go away? Do you have any plugins that modify your toolbars or attempt to manage them? I would recommend removing plugins and go through the process again of adding them back. It sounds like there might be one that somehow is messing things up, but it might take a little while before it is noticeable. That is my first guess. You could also send me a zip files of your plugins folder and I'll see if I can recreate the issue. Let me know if that sounds like a good option, I'll give you an email that you can email it to. I used to suffer from BugSplats when using SU5 on a pc years ago. Switched to Mac in 2008 and never had a problem since until this week whilst using 2013 Pro when it has crashed twice whilst doing simple floor plans. The only plugin I've loaded so far is SU Podium which I used to use on previous versions but used my licence key to download the latest version. teething problems with SU2013 Pro maybe?
