........ I mean I want to resize only lenght and not the diameter of element. Which tool can i use ? In which way ?

I would use the 'Move'tool on a (selection of) rod(s) that need to be moved.
You can move the rod from its current position to where you create a guide (parallel to the rod).

...... But in my case now working with the riscky model is better than working with the purged model . ....

The model itself isn't riscky. The fact that at some point (in time) you have no model at all but the one that you saved to clipboard, that (to me) seems scary. Easy your model gets lost due to an unintended action.

      Amazed and thankfull ,.

I would like to think that this is just an odd way of purging unused (components and materials). So yes, it is possible.

      p.s. .... but riscky!

    • RE: Can I deactivate "constrained on....."?

      @jgb said:

Whenever I draw a line that is just slightly off (by design) the red, green or blue global axis, SU snaps the endpoint just off my mark with the "Constrained by..." message, and won't let me move it. ❓

As mentioned in your other thread where you wanted to change the bounding box and component axes to run along the component's geometry, you can take away the disturbing factor by temporarily redrawing the axes. Then snapping to your target shouldn't be a problem.

If this happens a lot, create a scene with only the "odd" drawing axes saved.

p.s. it is important to know that the use of the scene with its saved axes is not restricted to just one context. Open a (nested) group or component and you'll still be able to use the scene!

    • RE: How to force "Change Axis" to the RGB directions I want

      @jgb said:

...... I am drawing multiple components that are at an angle to the global axis, sometimes just slightly off. When I create the component bounding box, it naturally aligns with the global axis.

But I need the box aligned to an angle from within the component.
      ❓

In cases the bounding box (and thus the local axes) are just slightly off global axes (say an angle of as little as 0.5 degrees), 'Change Axes' on the component doesn't work. They keep snapping to the global axes.

Redraw the drawing axes at quite a different angle, keeping blue the same.
Now apply 'Change Axes' from the right click context menu on the component to set its bounding box correct along its edges (= an effective rotation of 0.5 degrees).
      Then reset the drawing axes.

I hope I did understand your problem correctly.

...... All you need to do is to use the "change axis" option on each level in the hierarchy, to make sure that they all have the same axes pointing in the same directions.

I'm not sure about whether axes positions an directions are involved. Can you share an example?
But dimensions inside scaled groups and components do change their location when closing the scaled group/component. As if the dimension isn't fully taking part of the scaling operation.

....... or are the "textured" aerial imagery on the location snapshots unable to display shadows?

Both the terrain and the snapshot can display shadows.
Open the 'Shadows' window and see if display: on faces is checked.
Also play with both available sliders, light and dark. The contrast might be too low to even see the shadows.

After 18 years Feyenoord Rotterdam is back the soccer champion of holland. The club with more then 3 million supporters all over the world, and world cup winner 1970.

the whole country and city is having a great time
      😮
Are they? Feijenoord lost again. If eventually they win the cup(next sunday last chance!) it will be a "narrow escape". I'm not into soccer but it would be nice for them. They somehow deserve it after that many years.

.... Is there a way to create scenes without having them populate as tabs across the top of the window?

What if you add scenes through the 'Scenes' window (using its **+**sign) while having menu View > Scene Tabs disabled? There won't be any (new) tabs visible till you enable Scene Tabs again.

And just tried a new model with nothing in it....
      Can't find the red axis.

Just tested a model similar to the one in your file, feb 13.
With the camera position you presented I could find R, G and B axes in FOV less than 10 deg upto 120 degrees. No problem here.
The blind spot that seems to only appear on my laptop decreases with a larger FOV.
      Weird.
