Thanks Boris for your reply, so I have to select every single Object to generate the propriate cutlist. Would be a nice to have in the future to automatically seperate ... But really thanks for the great work and helpful OpenCutlist, I really enjoy it Michael

An image used as part of a material is called a 'texture'. There's no bump-maps inside SketchUp. So any image like a JPG or PNG is called a 'texture' when associated with a SketchUp material...

Did you also install the LibFredo ? Did you restart SketchUp after everything was installed ? There's a Tools submenu containing these tools... There's an optional Toolbar which needs activating...

The default location for loaded extensions is the Plugins menu [renamed Extensions menu in newer SketchUp versions. However it can become cluttered, and many authors choose other locations depending on what the tool does - favorites are Tools and Draw, but others can be under File and so on - but some are unexpected odd, e.g. my SectionCutFace only appears in the right-click context-menu if a single section-plane is selected... You must read the Usage notes for each extension you install... TrueTangents has its own thread - http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=160780#p160780 where its usage is discussed - access it using the More Info... button in the PluginStore... That page has a link to ttps://sketchucation.com/plugin/771-truetangents - its more detailed page at the PluginStore...

@fredo6 said: You can control the weight of the control point by mousewheeling on the small pin. This changes the curvature for the previous section. Thanks for the reply! I tried this, but it seems to change the "tension" value for the entire segment. I was hoping for controls like this: [image: 3qBJ_AnimationBrokenFree.png] This is from Unity, but most 2d and 3d packages have a similar UI. You can control the magnitude and direction of the tangent on each side of each segment endpoint. For a cubic bezier this corresponds to the "inner" two control points. It's a pretty standard UI .. is there some reason you didn't implement this in FredoSpline? Thanks! Tyler

@millypatty said: Thanks I'll give it at try. This is the type of bedding I'm hoping to achieve. I've drawn the bed but I have imported the bedding and it doesn't fit well to the bed frame. Which is why I want to recreate it myself. Will the method you have outlined help me to achieve this look? Does this example look like it was created in Clothworks? I am not sure if this was created with ClothWorks. This puffiness effect looks nice and so far, with ClothWorks, it was only applied to creating pillows. With regards to bedsheets, I currently have no understanding of how to replicate this effect. To support this kind of puffiness effect, I believe there needs to be a soft body simulation support. Right now, it's just flat sheets.

Scooped it up early this morning. Took it for a short spin and it works great. Some new things to learn but the basics for grass are still there. More robust and faster. A lot of people were looking forward to this update. Thanks.

No, you shouldn't be putting them in Shipped Extensions. You should just do what Rich said and install them Using the Extension manager from the download folder.

@matte said: Good Day, Over the years I have created an extensive Library of things to cut and paste into my models. It's large enough to the point to where I am having problems picking the "right" part in a timely manner. For example when I want to add a table light to a scene. Style is very important.... When I “open the folder” that I have all my table lights in… there is “70 or 80” to choose from. The way I input a “Light” now is insert them one by one till I find something suitable. What I would like to know…. Is there some form of an Icon viewer where when I open the folder in windows with many Sketchup items in there… I see what they are without having to open them up one by one till I find something usable. Thanks Matte Also worth checking out Component Finder.

Also note that many of thomthom's extensions need you to install his TT_Lib 'helper' file... https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=TT_Lib So download and install that too... Restart SketchUp after installing any Lib's RBZ so that everything gets properly synced... Fredo's extensions are another example where a Lib needs to be installed too...

How are you trying to install these extensions ? More details would help us to help you... Note that some extensions need a helper Lib installing - LibFredo is one of these... With the PluginStore you download the RBZ file for the extension, and save it to your Downloads folder. Do not try to open it with SketchUp. It needs installing... Within SketchUp v2021's Extensions menu open the Extension Manager [it's in a different menu in earlier versions]... Click the 'Install Extension' button in its dialog. Find the RBZ and SketchUp automatically installs the contents of the RBZ for you... When an extension needs a helper Lib also install that and restart SketchUp to ensure everything gets synced...

Some authors like Fredo & thomthom use supporting Lib files, which are available to download and install [LibFredo], then after SketchUp is restarted the tools should load and be available. However, don't fall into the trap of thinking that every extension is listed under the Extensions menu... Read up on each particular extension's usage - e.g. Fredo's Tools is accessed through the Tools menu list or its Toolbar entry... Some other tools are also activated from the context-menu... read up on each one...

Doesn't Archicad have 'combine by material' option when exporting to external file formats like fbx\obj? If you by mistake have 3ds Max- there are some soog solutions..

@rshawiii said: Is is possible to combine multiple fredo-splines. I want to join them at their endpoints, then have the two original splines behave as a single spline that can be edited/adjusted going forward. Combining 2 splines into one would cause each spline to be (slightly) modified to ensure continuity at the junction. This is not supported currently by FredoSpline, but can probably be done (although not trivial in the general case). Same, by the way, for the split of splines, that is, cut a spline into pieces which are also splines. Currently, the only thing you can do is to extend a spline by its extremity.

Because the different "strands" of the drapery needed to be different lengths and pinned at different angles, I decided to scrap trying to use the original circular array of rectangles and am modeling each strand one by one... I don't even have the original component anymore! I think my original issue was the way I was selecting the geometry. I was able to model one of the strands, attaching file. drapes.skp The other issue I've come across is once I model the cloth, I realize I needed to add more pins, but because I want the pins to be in a circular shape, if I toggle the drape off, I can't tell where to put the pins so they catch the cloth. Is it possible to add pins after modeling the cloth? If anyone has a better work process on how to model the referenced drape, please let me know.
