Looking for plugin that would hollow out odd shaped solids

Hi folks,
I would like to know if there's a plugin that would easily hollow out an odd shaped solid like the Offset tool but evenly throughout the solid and not only on one face.
I have provided below a picture to illustrate what I'm trying to achieve.
