@noduhduh said: Only other thing I changed was instead of making my cylinder finished height (2"), I made it taller than needed and just intersected it at 2" instead. Come to think of it, that's probably what did it? It's generally easier to do this kind of thing if you add plenty of excess length so it's easier to select and erase the unwanted geometry. And it's not like the excess geometry is costing you anything.

@renandez22 said: Problem: Fredo Corner defaults all chamfers on 3d objects (two surfaces meeting at an edge) to a 45 degree angle. Anyone know how to change this to a 25 degree or what tool can be helpful for 3d objects. For chamfer to work on corners with 3 edges or more (e.g. a true corner), the profile needs to be symmetrical. If this is just to chamfer borders of a shape, then this is more a kind of followMe, and whether with the native tool or with Profile Builder by Whaat, you should make it with no difficulty.

It looks like you have the first two scenes working just fine. Scene 1 shows a red cube, scene 2 shows green. I'm not sure what your plan is but you have 12 copies of the green cube on Layer 2. [image: Zm3e_Screenshot-3_20_201911_22_23AM.png] You've also managed to assign edges and faces of the green cubes to layer 2 instead of Layer 0 where they belong. I've fixed the layers problem, removed 11 of the green cubes leaving just one, made a copy of the cube, painted its faces blue and assigned it to Layer 3 and now it all works just fine. Scene 1 [image: iHXT_Screenshot-3_20_201911_32_16AM.png] Scene 2 [image: 5fv5_Screenshot-3_20_201911_32_26AM.png] Scene 3 [image: TuQy_Screenshot-3_20_201911_32_36AM.png] If you want to place copies of the same group in the exact same position but on different layers, try it this way. Original group created on Layer 0. Create the number of layers you need and name them appropriately. Turn off their visibility. Select the group. Hit Ctrl+X to cut it to the clipboard. Hit Edit>Paste in place. A keyboard shortcut is a good idea for this. Immediately change its layer association to the first layer. It'll disappear because that layer's visibility is turned off. Hit Edit>Paste in place again. A new copy of the cube will appear. Assign the next layer in the list to it. Rinse and repeat until you have copies of the component on each of the desired layers. Set up your first scene with the first layer visibility turned on but all the rest turned off. Create the scene. Turn off the first layer, turn on the second. Create the next scene. Repeat until you have all of the scenes created.

Why must you use a remote connection - which, as you have founded, will not work ?

Aah, good. Dale is a knowledgeable and helpful guy. Is this also a new SU installation? What I want to get to is if you installed SU correctly, strange things happen when SU isn't installed correctly. Fortunately installing it correctly is a simple task.

Greetings, I cannot make a smoove tool working on SU 2018. Starting from scratch and editing a grid surface the Ssmoove Tools does not make any interraction with surface. A radius ans any other setting is set correctly. There smoove pointer does not make any vertices selection, etc. I will be thankful for any helpful suggestion. PS Is there any possibility to reinstall a Sandox Plugin perhaps?

After converting all groups to components, you can replace them all by a single one using component replacer plugin, also from thomthom

As stupid as this sounds: I think that might have actually been the issue. I tried it again with a simple small block and the bigger the model gets the worse that optic illusion of unparallelity becomes I have been breaking my brain over this for hours....now I actually put a ruler to my screen and it checks out. Thanks a lot for your help

If you are in the setup mode for Match Photo, moving the origin is really more like moving the image relative to SketchUp's fixed origin. You would set the axes so that the origin aligns with some easily identifiable corner in the image. You might find it easier to set up the Match Photo image in a separate file and then copy the model into that file to place it where you need it. If you share the SKP file of your model and the image you are using, I can give you more specifics.

Looked at your gif.... still confusing as what your trying to do. Posting one of your screen shots that I marked up with some questions. Would be best to know what is this ? What is the final result ? Is this something you want to 3D print ? [image: AQLD_tool20handle20front.jpg]
