So it's narrowed down to a change in graphics drivers, then. I doubt you'll see a lot of difference with Hardware Acceleration disabled. It just means your graphics card isn't really doing the work. Instead rendering duties are being dumped on the CPU. It might be that another GPU driver will come along and fix the issue so you can go back to using the GPU instead of CPU for rendering duties. Time will tell.

Thanks Dave R. Now that you mentioned it, it could be an outdated extension. I been meaning to do some cleaning in that area. I will start there and see if the crashes stop.

Nevermind I solved it. The ramp entrance level was not 100% flat with the rest of the floor. I used the push/pull tool to make sure all the surfaces was perfectly on the same level and it worked.

SU uses an older UVQ mapping method that isn't really the norm these days.

Thank you Pilou! That works although I cannot press file>save when in pause. I Ctrl+S but was not sure if it worked. It sat there long enough to give me an autosave so I wasn't worried. When I restarted, it launched normally with my bowl of cereal the way I left it. 😄

UPDATE:
I figured out how to get Sketchup cameras in Fusion. In the 3D scene import options of Fusion, the title starts with FBX so naturally I thought that format was a necessity. Turns out I could use a 3ds, obj, dae, etc. through the same import options so I exported a 3ds from SU and it worked. Just reporting this in case anyone is also interested.

Thanks Carloh! I knew I was missing something. Enabling the sun along with the IBL made a huge difference.

As far as I know, Sketchup has no relation to Active X, and has never had any relation to it, since the display language used is OpenGL for the program.
There may be something else going on there. Probably can't hurt to check your graphics card website for updates.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: My apologies. I must have been half asleep. Active X is a Windows operating system feature. I was thinking Direct X.

Thanks cotty. Don't know why I didn't think of double clicking. But it still bothers me that I am not getting the results like before.
I right-clicked the sandbox group and clicked on "smooth normals/soften coplanar" and moved the slider all the way to 180 as instructed in the video. The weird thing is I did it a few days ago and got the exact results like in the video with solid edges not broken up into segments. I don't know if it's related but yesterday when I launched Sketchup, at first it hung and I had to force quit. Then I launched again to find all my plugin bars dismounted into the middle of the screen and I had to organize them again.

Thank you Dave for your help. Turns out Zorro2 was not even necessary. Your suggestion to simply select the top part of the model and move it down worked like a charm. 💚

Yeah, I moved too fast on that cooler. It was actually sold separately as these CPUs do not come packaged with cooling fans. Getting a replacement is on the list.
