Long time no post, Anyone with experience running Su on the more recent Surface Pro 4 or a Surface Book? I am looking at getting one of the two (for photo editing tasks on the go) but it will be a bonus if it could handle SU decently, for the occasional editing. My doles are more medium size, not very complex. Both machines come with 6th Gen i7 processors , 2GB nVidia GC and 16 GB RAM. Any advice or experience with would be greatly appreciated, Khintanar

@tig said: @masterpaul said: Thank you I understood how to load a single plugin, and did so successfully but not so much a whole file from this directory: E:\Sketchup\Plugins Inside my example script the last few lines of code load everything inside a given folder. You can't type multi-line code in the console, use ; to make it one line... First set the path path='E:\Sketchup\Plugins' then Dir.entries(path).each{|file|ext=File.extname(file).downcase;next unless ext==".rb"||ext==".rbs";Sketchup.load(File.join(path, file))} To load all files inside the give 'path'... Ah thankyou.. it works perfectly

Waiting for it, I've bought the V4 next year. Price??? Nothing on site I can find. Not much info either Sad... there is no info on the new version of the web site I said "I've bought the V4 next year", but's not realy true... "My school bought it" is better So, I dont realy know the price, but I remember something about 250$ for academic license.

@scottbold said: an all purpose, all singing and dancing package like ArchiCAD? archicad is pretty popular where i live, i think is also more widely used than revit..i can say in recent times 50% of my work is complete/fix/edit archicad models which they can't or are not good enough to finish in on their end, mostly for freeform stuff, furniture, vegetation, terrain.. i'm not pretty sure taht archicad is "all purpose" at all.. i would say it has HUGE limitations when it comes to freeform modeling.. or maybe that people here doesn't know how to use the software.. so that's good for me.. so while they are "singing and dancing" (and struggling with basic freeform modeling), i model 10 time faster than they do and with less limitation, maybe you are right for the documentation side.. i don't know, is not my job. but as a pure modeler i would say sketchup is WAY better than archicad. btw the two software have a whole different approach so the comparison is quite unfair..

Well, that pretty well answers the question, then. Now you have the solution but if you choose not to put those lines in another context, you'll be stuck with them unhiding whenever you use Unhide>All. Smooth will make them disappear but it isn't the same as hiding them.

Deep exploration would probably work best, however thats a rather expensive piece of software for just conversions. Try copying the model using the select all and pasting in a new instance of SU and trying again. Deselecting stand alone edges in options may also help. If the problem persists then you can email it to me at pete@solosplace.com and I will use DE to do the conversion for you. (but do let me know if you are going to email me as I am terrible at checking my mail)
