Thanks folks, very kind of you. Thanks, Broomstick, [image: wall.gif] completely forgot to add the dirt to the roof tiles! Here's the SU shot of same roof image. It's not actually a photomatch, but used Tomasz' BMVB to put a plane behind the building and paste my image from the client he took from the actual building's roof on it. [image: file.php?id=2362] Then in Photoshop I used an alpha mask rendering from Twilight to mask the same image back into the rendering... actually it was a 'doctored' version of the image. More on this scene's composition in this thread on Twilight's forum.

I've been investigating this further and have found that the problem can be reliably reproduced. I have submitted this to the Google forum at http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/sketchup/thread?tid=6b0a0298daee1261&hl=en At the above link I have posted links to SU files that can reproduce the error, as well as a YouTube video showing the bug in action. The work-around in my case seems to be to ensure that the component is in "edit" before using Project Photo (when using match photo). Hope this helps some others

@mark carrabbio said: Attached are some of the errors. With regard to the problem of the Windows Installer being unable to write to C:\Config.msi... I know this issue has been quiet for a while, but I was searching about this earlier today and found a hint that may be helpful, so I wanted to share it. There are some forums where people have suggested that this error is a result of the MSI service not being registered properly. To see if that's the case, you could try the following procedure and then retry the operation that was failing. On the “Start” menu, choose “Run”. In the “Open” box, type “msiexec /unreg”, and hit ENTER. On the “Start” menu, hit “Run”. In the “Open” box, type “msiexec /regserver”, and hit ENTER. That will re-register the MSI server, possibly repairing the error.

Very nice work there. I almost believed the first image was a photograph. You should add med gas hose to the chambers. Green and yellow.

Hi Fletch, I made this mov file with the cubicpanoout > GoCubic workflow and it was fairly easy to do but its a straight SU output. cubicpanoout can however create the scenes as mirjman suggests above and you can later render them in Kerky (I think using the spherical camera as I was told by Frederik) and stitch them together with GoCubic. AFAIK this is how Martin made this panorama as well.

very very generous offer, Solo! Thanks! I have decided I will just import these furniture pieces in .obj format directly to KT. I will just build some placeholders in SU for my Cam. setup. I can probably convert the objs at home tonight.

@omuljungley said: I understood that the first time Gaieus, but there could be some other people who might have not. I didn't try to offend you in any way, it is just that when you advice someone to buy a software it is a paradox to say in the same sentence that you need to get it for free or "gratis". Others who see your post will also want to get it for free and if they can't get it from Abe they will get it from somewhere else. Well, that may also be a valid reasoning but you may never know what's behind such a "present" from a developer. For your information, I have received a free upgrade from SU 6 (Pro) to SU 7 (Pro) as well. In fact, although by accident, I ended up with two pro licenses of SU 7 (one of which I don't use of course because it's not what the aim of this free upgrade was). Now would this mean that everyone should be entitled to expect the same from Google? Or I have licenses of three commercial plugins for free for different reasons (beta testing or translating the English version to my mother tongue etc.). But seriously, let's put this aside because I'm also sure your intention was not "piracy" and I can imagine that sometimes one needs to try out something until he can make sure it will work. This is also why "trial versions" (and optimally "fully featured" ones) should always be available. So again, I'm glad it worked for you and indeed, Hypercosm is a great tool (and the Pro version is quite powerful, too). Unfortunately it's rather undervalued and not very well known by SU users although since they released the Mac version of the viewer, it has worked on all major platforms and browsers which you cannot tell about a lot of other applications of similar purposes.

I think I isolated the issue... I had an ancient program that was made to create a backup image called EZRestore... it came with my MB. anyway... it was a piece of crap and as it ran out of memory (it did not have an option to add to the partition it had created) was messing up many proggies ability to access the registry properly. I got rid of the program and things are working much better.

although i had already praised kim's work privately i may as well say publicly that he is done a helluva job. it is a terrific improvement on what we had before as it covers most of the important topics in a very clear way. well done indeed! creating a great app is a tremendous effort and must be highly praised. however, i feel that documenting well what you are offering people is almost as important. the clearer it is how to use KT the more users it will have.

well, meanwhile... many moons later... I have created the file. It shows the ADA Toilet Room Grab Bars (to the best of my ability/understanding) exactly as specified in ANSI A117.1 ... So attached you will find a SketchUp model with the ADA grab bars for a toilet room built to ANSI A117.1 standards. I expect to one day be in a toilet room in the African desert and see this grab bar setup - got it?! Enjoy! DISCLAIMER: USE THIS ONLY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Not photography but related to the idea of gathering a 3d point cloud. http://www.faro.com/content.aspx?ct=kr&content=news&item=229&tab=3 I saw a competing product on a recent episode of This Old House and it looked to me like it will be a tool for most kitchen cabinet designers/installers within a few years.
