Thomas, Looking at FredoScale I think it may do the job, with the tool called "Stretch". Those tools are fantastic, but not being a big ruby user I get daunted by where to begin. This looks like one to have. Thanks! Peter

Mike This Tutorial is about blending a model into a photo (rather than applying textures from a photo onto a model) http://www.sketchupartists.org/?page_id=1972 David

It seems that your arch face is not even divided so that you could combine the textures. In fact, the texture is not even arched.

Window -> Styles go to the Edit tab, select the first icon (3d box with no faces, only lines), and uncheck endpoints. My preference is to make sure all of those are unchecked as they slow down your model. Only use them if you want them on to print or export. -Brodie

@jteselle said: This is an old problem -- just wondering if anyone has a solution. I am using SketchUp 7 on a Windows PC, with XP. I've been using SketchUp for a long time (since version 2) and have noticed this problem from time to time. I set up my window size maximized on my screen, with toolbars where I want them. When I exit and then restart, sometimes the application window opens correctly (full size) and sometimes it opens up small. I can't see any logic to it. When it opens small, I have to reposition all the toolbars, because they have been moved around to fit on the small window. Any ideas as to how to fix this? Have you tried right clicking on the shortcut and selecting run Maximized? Or is that what you are explaining you have done. Best, C [image: 4W17_SP04.jpg]

SU can only display things minimum 1 puixel from each other on screen. This means that if you place two faces 3/8" from each other but look at them from close enought for SU to "have enough pixels" in between, there's no problem. Once you zoom out however and this 3/8" would occupy less screen real estate than 1 pixel, SU has problems displaying it and z-fighting begins. A bigger resolution export surely helps and this is what probably happened here; your screen resolution must be higher than the resolution you exported the animation in. Am I guessing well?

It appears that I have the proper files in the plugin folder, thanks. I have been through quite a bit of the thread (but not all of it yet) and still haven't found a solution.

Thanks for the answers. @xrok1: these are 2D images. Exported from SketchUp. So it's a SketchUp problem. But I think i've found the problem. I had made a scene before i tried the thing with the parallel projection. And I think that scene was set to perspective. so I think I must have klicked onto my scene and the parallel procection disappeared again... But I didn't notice that it dissappeared again. Problem solved. Thanks for helping. Timo77

@cholme said: Sometimes they work fine and other times ... First, for setting your own shortcuts: Bravo! Shortcuts rule. Second, they can also be a bit of an insect colony. From the link below, scroll down until you get to the red box that starts, "Complaints." http://www.martinrinehart.com/models/tutorial/tutorial_10.html#defining It's quite a long bug list for one small area. Can I add yours? Martin

Sorry about that. Try here - http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/en_geo_page.htm You need to find Points_Cloud_Triangulation.rb. Right click and save the link to your plugins folder. It also requires Delaunay2.rb to work. Find it here - http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=117071#p117071

cheers people. I normally use these curtains to 'frame' and image too. they are not nice enough to take a focal point. you can always 'close' the curtains too by stretching them with the scale tool. thanks honolulu, i will check it out

I like it. I've done something similar to that.
