@toto85980 said: which I place into my spotlight component and behind the glass ; and I got the render I'm looking for, but the Kerkythea render take more time. I'll shared my skp component if you have any idea to perform my render ... I don't know how to set a fake emit light material on my object. [attachment=2:3tb4kf8q]<!-- ia2 -->spotlightsample.jpg<!-- ia2 -->[/attachment:3tb4kf8q] If you put a light behind the glass, glass will turn light to caustic light, that will render quite lot slower. Please read trough Kerkythea tutorials at http://www.kerkythea.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5720 They will guide you trough the basics.

I have had some luck taking things from sketchup to unity3d. The beast lighting engine/baking is probably the most attractive thing about it. I will say there is a learning curve, but so far nothing youtube has not be able to teach. Unity3d appears to have a small but dedicated group of users. Though if there are other on the board I would love to know.

Have you tried Three line tool by Chris Fullmer Using line_normals to start a normlize line direction clf_vertical_line_maker_loader.rb or Guides Axes Normal by TIG Can add 3 guide lines normal to picked face or workplane. clinesaxesnormal.rb Work Plane by TIG Adds true working plane(s) and grid(s) in your model. WorkPlane.rb Once you find the normal you can use the axes tool set normal to new z to force display of perpendicular inference Like you said Gaieus "align the axes to a certain line and then use the other axis inference to draw a perpendicular one."

The cumbersome offset was what lead me to inquire, Dave. srx has got a promising ticket, though, and I thank you both very much.

Hi folks. A square created with the Polygon tool can be scaled to become a rectangle. Just ideas.

Well, as you see in my edit comment that method is another way to do it. But I suggest you post in the thread I provided, so that the author can guide you. There may be some other factor causing the fail.

See http://www.smustard.com/script/Stereo as a possibility, BUT not use why it's not currently downloadable - it used to be... Lumion might also have some capabilities you'd like...

Pilou often links from that Kitto Raup and that guy has some very good video tutorials mostly made with the native tools that we often neglect nowadays as we are overwhelmed and spoiled by those plugins. (Similarly, Jean Lemire often posts simple solutions achievable with the native tools instead of suggesting some "easy looking" way with plugins).

Ok I also had the same problem as the Burkhard, this time with Jasons sketchup materials for arroway which also has maxwell attributes. I fixed the problem by disabling SUPodium. If i re-enable SUPodium without any other plugins crashes return. I am using 32 bit SU8.0168 on a 64 bit Windows 7 and SUPodium V2.

After a month of working on this, I finally figured it out. The short answer is, EVERYTHING that is dynamically resized must be a sub-COMPONENT, NOT a sub-GROUP. If sub-groups are used, any copies of the original component which are resized will screw with any other copies. Peter 11.5″ × 1′8.75″ × 5″ drawer with handle.skp

first, learn the basics by doing simple stuff. just give yourself a task and try to do it. SU is really intuitive. when u hit a brick wall, use the search function on this forum.- also read this thrad http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=12706 and this one http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17315&p=360018 over and over here is a thread with .gifs of some good plugins http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=16909&hilit=plugins - but dont use too many plugins before u have the basics down. here are all plugins in one thread: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=250026 for archviz i mostly use Fredos Round Corner, Joint Push Pull, Selection Toys, CleanUpÂł. I have many more plugins but rarely need them. but it really depends what u are doing with SU. terrain generation: sandbox tools for a rendering beginner, i would recommend free maxwell. u basically just press a button and get a photorealistic rendering.
