a great subject ,one I have many ideas on and I am collecting related posts. the reality is SU is a very interactive program ,I refer to that as "good flow" thats between my mind and the next action relavent to tools and menu's. As programs get older they seem to loose this, and become cluttered , therefor act now, . There is some connection to a China plugin managing plugins ,tho this to on second brief look was a re worked mass toolbar,, I am working on the idea of chosen Master Tools that carry any user chosen combination as a drop-down, each drop down button can subsequently carry any related tools or the rest of it's plugin collective, the only help I have found to keep my toolbar minimal as an example is the animator, prefereces allows user to select buttons to show on toolbar , the others are available when in use anyway,, , the plugins still reside in the tool shed or on line ,,there is another post somewhere with a small active user tool-kit attatched ,by choice, to the current tool ,,similar to hot-keys ,,and fast edit numbers,,Jon,,,so far https://image.ibb.co/gPq8FF/123108ts1rms1lr3zc3z7b_jpg_thumb.jpg

Thank you all for thehelp! I am trying Latticeizer now and it seems working well, however, is there a way to make Sketchup and the plugin ignore the hidden faces and work only with the polygon traced by the visible lines to have the same effect as the photo? For all the lines, visible or not are processed by the plugin.

@dave r said: If you set the face style to Monochrome so the image isn't getting in the way and turn on Hidden Geometry, you can see that all the edges bordering the terrain are hidden (dotted lines) and the edges bordering the triangular faces are softened/smoothed (dashed lines). <!-- ia0 -->Screenshot - 2_21_2020 , 7_59_36 AM.png<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:3nf8v0jf] Ahhh! I see! It makes absolute sense!

And why not take programs who have SKP export format ? Moi3D (useful for transform Nurbs in SKp), Bricscad, PConPlanner etc... PconPlanner or Moi3D can be used as convertor !

You open up a CA file and under IMPORT you find IMPORT 3D SYMBOL and you can see SKP is one of the file formats you can open up directly as a symbol. There are some minor things you can do to the symbol, but it remains just a symbol that cannot be broken apart. [image: aKQ0_SKPimportintoCA.png]

That's not a bad idea, actually. I can place a guide point at my component's X,Y,Z intersection before exploding it. Smustard's Midpoint extension does the trick. Thank you Dave R. (See? Sometimes it pays to drill down.)

What Microsoft browser are you using? What version is it? Since this appears to be coming from Archelios, it would be a good idea to check with them and see what browser version they support. BTW, your profile indicates you are using 2020 Free/Make but there is no such version. Please update your profile.

@l i am said: Hi, when doing landscape design it is best to use this workflow, as shown. Simply draw the whole plan on the image. Then push pull to achive the relitive levels. Then you should not have those issues. <!-- ia0 -->SU3.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:pfrl20zr] Thanks Li am, DaveR said the same thing so next time I’ll be following your advice Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

That all depends on your image manipulation skills. I'm sure you can. You can also change the green background in the styles tab and export with any colour you want.

See this thread. It refers to migrating to a new version of SketchUp but the same thing applies to installing SketchUp on another computer. You can copy the folders for Components, Materials, Styles, and Templates to a USB stick and take those home with you. Make a screen shot of SketchUp at work and take that home too. Don't copy extensions, though, unless you get a kick out of chasing loading errors and other problems. Install them fresh to make sure you have the current versions and they are installed correctly.
