Hello all
I have just purchased a new MacBook Pro 15” fully loaded !..to replace my old one which I used to use with apples 30” Cinema Display ! Unfortunately the new MacBook Pro only has thunderbolt and no mini display connector so at the moment I cannot connect to the Cinema Display I can purchase a stone henge hub which will get the Cinema Display working again as it has a mini display connector to work with the new MacBook all this will cost around £200.00 !.. or do I bite the bullet and purchase something like a benq PD3220U 4K display to replace the apple Cinema Display which runs at 2560 x 1600 obvously a lot lower res than current 4K displays but a good resolution all the same and a great display …what would you do ? and current thoughts on using 4K displays and sketch up most appreciated? Benq also make a 27” Thunderbolt Display maybe a better choice than 31.5 ? Anyway any users advice most appreciated…thanks James

RE: Extruded Handrail

Try using Erase+Ctrl to smooth them...
OR make the profile-edges and/or the path a Curve using a 'weld' tool, so the extrusion is smoothed automatically...Thankyou Tig.. when you say a weld tool how would i go about that ?.

Extruded Handrail
Hello there
I am currently designing a staircase for a client . The strings treads and rises spindles ect . Have posed no problems however the handrail is causing problems .
Basically it is a continuous handrail with a valute at the bottom so twists and turns anyway i designed the handrail profile which is quite simple being a curved top and sides and then sraight sided with a moulding detail halfway down anyway i decided to use the follow me which has worked fine except when the handrail started to extrude behind the follow me tool the lines appeared which make up the curves so now i have a handrail the correct profile and following the spindles but with all the surface lines that make up the curves showing how can i get rid of this so i can apply a texture to the handrail or is there another way of creating my handrail profile with out the lines showing once i extrude the shape . ? any help much appreciated ....
