Hi, did you able to find a solution for your problem? i have got the same problem. when i render the model in 3dsmax which i modeled in sketchup, the uv from some objects who are scaled gives me problems. so everythime i have to reset the xform in 3dsmax.. but need to redo it every update i have on the 3d model. thx in case

As per your suggestion (as my Downloads Folder is empty), I downloaded the SU2019 Installer (to my Desktop), ran the Repair function as Administrator, then rebooted, arranged Tool Bars, inserted a simple model. I then saved as a template and opened another instance of SU. This did not remedy the problem. Shall I try uninstalling, then reinstalling SU as Administrator?

Sorry mate, I just wonder what the point of duplicating all my files is all about. This has only happened in 2019 and only really since the .3 edition, nothing like this before and I do not appreciate the mucking about. The idea of putting the files on drive 'D' is to save memory on drive 'C', it is an internal hdd direct to the mother board. BTW, the answer is no. Having moved my files to the 'C' drive I still cannot import SKP. I think I must be getting two tuesday's this week. I hope only two anyway.

The source for the terrain and imagery is not free since Google took their toys and went home. Now that it is a premium service and hobbyists using SketchUp Make, such as yourself, aren't paying for it, they don't get access to that data.

No. SketchUp does not have an automation interface on Mac or on Windows. The nearest thing is an external utility that simulates keypresses, but that isn't really what you want.

Basic geometry consists of edges and faces A face is always bounded by edges - it cannot exist without them. But edges can exist without any face associated with them. I said to select the face an reverse its orientation. Unless you select a face there's no 'Reverse' in the context-menu. Selecting an edge on its own won't do what you want... 'Flat' edges will style with the styled-geometry facing up. If an edge bounds a face, then the face's orientation determines which way the styled-geometry faces - that's why reversing a face affects how its new styling appears. If an edge is shared by more than one face then the face that's most squarely oriented onto the camera is used for the orientation of the styling...
