Well, those were just suggestions. I sometimes get quirky behavior with selection box left or right. Seems coincidental but I hear my processor fan kicking up at about that time. It could be Sketchup autosave, my security software updating behind the curtains, or something like that. Yeah, I know this is kind of random off topic.

I've had the same problem many times. I've found that it is more reliable to use "MOVE/control", but I'd love to see a real answer to your question. Chris

That's not a problem with SketchUp. It's a problem in the way you're doing it. If you copy from one while and use Paste in the other file, you have to click to drop the copy somewhere. Otherwise SketchUp doesn't know where to put it. You could use Edit>Paste in place and the copy will be pasted into the same relative position as in the first file. Uninstalling and re-installing isn't a solution to your problem.

I have SSD and 2TB HHD like you and I cannot see any significant difference although speed test would probably show some. Unlike x86 where the RAM is split between the kernel and su so each would get 2 GB, for 64 bit SU can use all of 4 GB. Some M boards have some BIOS option you can set that may help; look for some thing like"use max memory" and turn off( prevents the kerenel for hogging memory), look for " use shared memory and turn on". You best bet is to reduce the rendering load when you are modeling like use layers, monochrome, scenes and use textures for show and tell. Previously I have found turning transparency off helped a lots but have not checked for a long time.

You right I use plugin but just one and indispensable in the Toolbox! The genious Inverse Selection by TIG! By Right Click Only curvated face is duplicated not the volume! One of the curvated face must be "inverse white / blue" and the 2 curvated faces must be "Intersect with the model" ! And of course Rectangle Selection must be left to right! I think your modified textures have to be saved in some way as unique textures because of their different color assignments. I did it once, recently, but I stumbled on the desired result, rather than remembered the procedure. Do a search say in Google on keywords: Sketchup create unique textures. That is what I will be doing at some point. Or, help.sketchup.com search "textures"

As far as I know it can only be done in Layout not Sketchup itself.
