save your rendered in VFB history, klik on the icon "H" (at right bottom VFB), VFB history window will appear, then klik on the save icon.
when you open sketchup again and open VFB history your file still in there and can be reload for region rendering.

Have you tried applying the material to negative [back] faces too?

    It helps :

When loading heavy bitmaps at the beginning of the rendering. When you run out of memory, and vray has to swap a lot on the hard drive. (It's easy to see, your CPU is not at 100% in that case. It's limited by the HDD)

If you save as a PNG, you wont have to apply the alpha in PS. Make sure your background matches the correct lighting conditions of your render or it will look very fake. ie - an image where the sun is clearly on the left but your shadows are opposite.

Tick the "Use color texture as transparency" in the Diffuse layer of the material.

    Hi Lila,

One quick answer for you: in render "A" You are using "material override", that is why your glass material is not showing. Go to your glass in the vray material editor, and uncheck the option "Can be Overridden"

A more complicated answer: You'll probably want to do some testing with a smaller file sized model, or you will be very frustrated waiting for your 65MB file to render. Since you have an interior scene, I would try to put in lighting like you have indicated in the model. Make a simple model of a similar shape, and start adding in vray lights. It takes a while to learn all the tricks of vray, so the best is to take one concept at a time. If it makes you feel better, my first renders with vray looked just like yours, but it didn't stay that way for long.

Also, I see that you've started making changes to the camera settings, that is important to know, and I would keep adjusting the camera as you make changes to your GI and your artificial lighting so you get proper exposure of your scene.

Lastly, one hint: If you want daylighting in your space, I would use a high GI multiplier without sunlight. In your "Environment" options, go the the GI (skylight) option, and click on the texture (The "M" button) and change from TexSky to "none" Then, after you change the texture, change the value in GI from 1 to something like 10. This will bring in much more light to your scene from your exterior openings.

    Good luck β˜€

    Andy

You can also get it by clicking on EDIT menu and then GROUP, then Vray for Sketchup, and then edit light.

We will need to see a screenshot of your render settings. How are you setting up your IR and LC for animation? Does you model render a still exposed correctly with the HDRI sky?

My apologies, but that doesn't look very realistic to me at all. You shouldn't have the need to repeat an HDRI tiling. They are created to be used as a spherical environment set 1 to 1. The best way to achieve the most realistic results would be to have a photo taken at the same time of day and location as your render and place it in your background in post.

Here is a great site for getting background photos as well as textures. http://www.cgtextures.com/

Just increase the gamma value of the image which is applied to the chair.
Take new Standard material in the V-ray Material window.
Then in the diffuse panel, click on the options button which will be indicated by "m".
And then click on the none (selection option).
then select "TexBitmap" from the dropdown options.
On the right panel under section BitmapBuffer. select the image Image you want to apply.
And then under the file option you will see the gamma option.
just change it with the variation of satisfy result.

    thx all

    Hi
When I was first learning Vray, I would download materials and study how they were made up. There are loads of materials here http://www.chaosgroup.com/en/2/index.html You being a paid customer have access to loads of free materials. Use them.
