WOW, this is really nice.......Thanks for sharing. πŸ‘ πŸ‘

In a past life, I used to work with some of the large home builders here in the US. I could see a set of these in the sales office for a home builder (one for each model they are offering in the subdivision). Now, think about how it would be to take it to the next level and be able to remove the roof and or the 2md story and show the floor plan.

I drew over some missing faces' edges and they healed up.
However, the one on the shallow-dome part cause a double face to form - it was only zillions of an inch apart - but stopping it being a solid.
Because the edges were supporting too many faces !
I selected one of those faces and deleted it.
Then it reported as a solid.

I suspect that there is some incredibly tiny variance in these edges which SketchUp thinks can't support a face - or can - and then adds two faces !
    Doh !
These overlaid faces can some times occur - SolidInspector will show them - but can't fix them...

It's fixed! I saved it as an STL file (with the STL extension) and it worked. I guess some file types simply aren't compatible.

That won't have a very firm grip as it will twist upon the joint's axis. You should have at least 2 pins per joint... It also seems very prone to detach from each other. Maybe you now should model from what Mitch gave you.

Thanks, I will. I'm also going to use super glue to reinforce it.

Hi Corey, check that the model is uploaded at the correct scale on Shapeways. I uploaded your model without any changes, and it shows up fine for me, so that's the only thing I can think of!

Zip the ####.rb file and then rename the ####.zip file extension to ###.rbz

You can also do the reverse if you've an .rbz and need to make it an .rb

If you can't see the .zip file extension then google how to make your OS display file extensions.

I would wish we could connect all parts of our Construction Kit world wide (WW).

I think in all different continents we have different systems.

Adaptors will be useful to connect different standards, too.

My big dream is, we doesnΒ΄t need this all. i mean a WW Standard.

Every producer of hardware create an own standard, I think itΒ΄s a little bit stupid.

Yes i know, the producer will only a compatiblity inside the own system.

an other problem is the different measure systems.

my most used app on iphone is an measure app that calculate between different systems.

    https://itunes.apple.com/de/app/measures-hd/id452776173?mt=8

here is the problem, only the Apple Apps (iphone/ipad) is in the download.

when i find an app for both systems Android/Apple/or windows mobile apps i must pay again for the second plateform.

i could writing down so many other problems.. however i will stop here. I think all readers here can read between the lines. all readers here understand the main problem. I hope πŸ˜‰

What i love in Sketchup is: You and I can make the world a little bit easier. And we can sketching our ideas more faster than ever.

Hi, the easiest way is to make the contact area larger if possible. You may also use a higher percentage of infill - up to 90%.
