    • Problems with Curviloft

Problem with Curviloft, SOAPSKIN: after I finished making by "skeleton" by rails and cross ties, I was happily using Curviloft or SOAKSKIN, depending upon the geometry, to skin my model. After performing this exercise a number of times--remember that when done the area is now grouped--I would explode the group and go onto the next "pane" to be filled in. But then when I went to explode this newly formed group, which I had happily done without problems, heretofore, the context menu did not allow me to explode as explode became unavailable: it was there but I could not select it.
What did I do wrong? Is there another way to explode other than the context menu? I do I proceed? I am at my wits end (I have short wits, I guess). I am using Pro c. 2022.

    • How to bend a voronoi surface: flat to curved?

I want to make a curved surface with voronoi structure. The voronoi software seems to work only on flat surfaces. How do I go about bending a voronoi pattern flat surface to conform to a bendy surface e.g. a spoon or an egg?

    • Making a "mesh" of printable fibers

I want to buy a printer that prints in fiber, say kevlar. I want to make a stocking so that I can use a "clutch" to tighten it up. I have no idea how to go about designing this "mesh" of fibers. Will someone point me to a reference or video on how this might be accomplised.?

    • RE: Give that child a hand, brace

Box, you are brilliant. It worked!
Thank you so much and anyone else who even tried to think of a solution. I has made an amazing difference in this kid's pain level.

    • Give that child a hand, brace

I need to make a brace for a contracted toddler who is very contracted and frail. The brace would be the hand and forearm. The brace would extend from a "half pipe" supporting the forearm to the hand. The hand is contracted into a fist now, but I can extend the fingers and palm so that the hand would look kinda like it is holding a glass of water--so that she can grow into a more or less "normal" hand position. My problem is to use the hand model I have to make the palm and fingers "fit" into custom grooves to maintain the drinking position mentioned above; keeping the fingers curved a little and spread would decrease her pain a lot. I don't have the pro version to subtract the palm and fingers from the solid block to make it custom, so I need some "workaround" help. But once done, I could easily fit the forearm "halfpipe" onto the hand to complete the brace. Any help would be help me help my patient.

    • Problems with polygons

I just downloaded and began to use SU2015. I cannot make a circle or other polygon. I did just what I did in earlier versions, but when I click to change the diameter, it disappears. Is there a setting I need to change?

    • SketchyFFD problem

SketchyFFD.rb exists in my plugins folder. How do I use it now? I see no icon for me to click on. AND if you have a comment on the use of SketchyFFD, I would appreciate hearing it, for I have Tgi3d, and it works well, but the tutorials on SketchyFFD seem much more interactive and useful to my project. Any help is really appreciated.

    • References to apply scaffolding to model to print it

My planar spoon collapses during the print process. Apparently this is a common problem. Is there a secret or common method or software to solve this problem?
