Set the falloff to 0
Thank you!! Ha, I clicked on the Soft Selection several times but didn't think to check and change the radius, silly me. Much appreciated.

Hi! I'm modeling human face but somehow ran into this issue with Vertex Tool - I think I could select each individual point or some points to move or rotate to form the 3D shape out of the drawn 2D geometries. However, now when I click on points to show the Gizmo, a lot of points are selected! A lot more than what I want to select to change, so I can't change any of them individually... As shown on the screenshot at the upper left corner, 200+ vertices are selected! How can I select less vertices? For example, when I only want to select the edge of the face to pull back? I'm sure it could be done before, maybe because of the geometries I drew are not correct? Please kindly help. Appreciated.
Figured it out yesterday. Had the Geoplane in vray on, then turned it off.
I donβt think any question is ever stupid. It happens.
Hi. Is there anyone that could help me with this please?
I'm doing a kindergarten room but somehow it gets stuck with a 'ground' showing in the image attached. It never happens to my other modeling before and it's so weird none of the Ground settings is turned on, HDRI background was set to Sphere as well, NOT hemisphere, but the 'ground' is still there... in vray rendering no matter how I change the model... I've tried everything...
Please help.
I think that was because my UTC setting somehow brought a very weird effect which was quite dark. I changed it to UTC-7 then it's working ok, still not ideal for the interior yet but a lot better for the exterior.
Hi. I'm doing the interior whilst starting from check the Material Override box with exposure and white balance to be auto, GI turned on, sunlight is on and set at noon on a summer day. Not sure what happened or what I did but these windows are not allowing sunlight in, at all! As the tutorial showed, I had the Glass material option - Can Be Overriden unticked, I was going to adjust a bit on the sunlight then turn back on the material override but there isn't enough natural light coming in and you can see all the windows are black! Had a few when I didn't have GI on that was completely dark...
Grateful for your help to take a look where I could possibly did wrong with this... Appreciate it.

Try going to 150% again. Then reboot the computer and open SketchUp. Any better?
Please update your profile. It is obsolete right now.
Thanks Dave, it's resolved now. Updated to 2020, all comes back.
Appreciated.
Unfortunately it didn't, and now the whole tray went missing... Don't seem to getting it back no matter how I change the scale setting and reboot. I'll update SU to try again, I remember I had it before.

What version of SketchUp? What is your display scaling set to?
Thanks Dave. My SU is 2018, and display scaling was 250% but now changed to 200%,150% and 225%, there's still no Soften Coplanar... I tried turning the Soften Edge on and off from the default tray.
Hi there. While using Sandbox tool for my grass, it says to also tick off the box of Soften Coplanar under Smooth normals but, there's no Soften Coplanar as the snapshot shows so my grass looks weird... Should I delete sandbox to reinstall? What can I do to get it back?
