    Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

    Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

    Search your system for Preferences.dat What does the Extensions > Sketchucation > My Shortcuts menu show as your shortcuts? @unknownuser said: What is the reason for this?     3D PDF would be my suggestion https://www.simlab-soft.com/technologies/simlab-3d-pdf.aspx Its the easiest path to success without asking clients to download some additional app to view. Simlab has a nice Composer integration too so baking textures and other 'effects' are possible for that wow factor. Or you could go bespoke and try using threejs to build your own html viewer.     Hey! Thanks for You effort. Maybe i didn´t explain myself very correctly. All those irregular hexagons in tile is exactly the same. But they fit if You take same tile and place it on the side or top. I think i have to try this 3 triangle solution mentioned here. Didn't notice it was upside down until I saw the ground shadow hovering over the house. The first clue should have been when I was pulling some gutters with Profile Builder and the gutter was extruding upside down.

    You would have had to save the file at least once to get a .skb backup file generated. If you never did that, no file will exist.

    Box, thanks to your advice/info I was able to modify the Large Toolbar and add some functions (including the erase tool). Here is what I now have in the top section of the Large Toolbar. [image: x7lf_ModifiedLargeToolbar.png] Also downloaded the Eneroth Solid Tools plugin for dealing with cutting window and door wholes in my log cabin walls. Like it better than the standard tools (for this situation). Again, thanks for your feedback and assistance.

I suspected there must be 'parent data' buried in the file somewhere - I just couldn't figure out where it lives or how to access and then delete it. And I was not aware of the 'best practices' of saving a component to disk via the select - right-click - Save As operations. I have always just saved a model to disk with the File -> Save As... option - without first making the model a component - and then relied on the File -> Import... into my larger model to turn that model into a component. I shall make better use of the component -> Save As... operation.

    Are you holding Ctrl? If so, don't. A simple tap will activate the Copy function of the Move tool. This function was updated in a maintenance release of 2021. Read the tip at the bottom left of the screen when you have the Move tool. Notice that a double tap of Ctrl activates a Stamp tool which will place copies of your object wherever you click to drop one. BTW, your forum profile shows you are using SketchUp 2016. Please update that information.

    Import and convert dae files

    I tried Universal Importer and did not have much success, at least with the models I tried which was a rather complex one (see the model in my original post). One of the problems I have encountered with the dae files/models I have tried to import was missing faces. I think the solution for me is to find an alternative source/sources to the 3D Warehouse since I can no longer download skp files from there.
