Hey guys
I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues.
Is there another solution?
Thank you one and all. I have explored all of your valuable advice. Exporting PNG's into Premier Elements worked a treat. I now have a beautifuly slick 20 scene animation. It looks great and my client loves it!!!
Thanks again, I realy appreciate it!
Id have to go with norbert on this, its a lot easier doing stuff like this with NURBS. You can then convert to polys if you need to. MoI is a good place to start for easy NURBS modelling.
Since they all seem to work when hardware acceleration is off it sound like a graphic driver bug. Is your graphics driver up to date? What hardware do you have?
nice presentation, Coen (only found it today). didn't know about the workaround to position textures. but I think this is definitely something needed for SU7 - better texture control...
@mrjumpmanv2: I always used two teams of about 10 prism tanks to destroy bases (but only after sending a spy into the enemys base, so that all my tanks are already upgraded once...)

one thing you can definitely do is switch off the "proviles" in the style window. the model will look nicer and you save some processing power...
Thanks Plot, dd that and it does look better,, (so much to learn )
How about some nice Romanesue churches? They may seem to be rather difficult by the first sight but you can start with a simple one and keep adding things to it (like it was actually being done hundreds of years ago).
wow, thanks- that clears things up a bit.
Great, and £27 is the kind of thing I can afford at the moment too.
It also said I can put that money towards a proper license as well.
I love google
