A small TV could go on that wall or it can be setup for hanging utensils, aprons. shallow niches could be made for spices or oils (Maybe with little guards to keep the bigger items from falling out). Can't give a lot of useful ideas without a full understanding of what they want in the apartment and how much they are willing to spend / tear out. One can only throw out ideas only you and the owners can figure out if they fit the project. Are the doors necessary? Most people don't have doors at the kitchen... Is one to the outside? Depending on preferences and what is over on the right I'd want to take out the whole wall and make that peninsula as wide as possible (32" wide passageway). The kitchen is very small (in my frame of reference anyway) so efficient cabinets and the nicest, most utilitarian equipment are most important. Clever use of any spaces for storage or fixtures is also appreciated. Make exact measurements of the space and utilize them in the drawings, making allowances for clearances (drawer spaces and door swing). Measure well. How thick are those walls? ...The size of doors and appliances. Show the dishwasher. show the upper cabinets in the plan in some way to make it clear there is open counter space below or not (I use dotted lines). Do the interior elevation drawings of all walls once the plan is well along and the major appliance spaces determined (not that it won't change). The elevations might help with ideas and cause you to rearrange the plan. Other thoughts: Good electrical fixture design and lighting are also key. That wall pantry space on the right could include a counter height open area, if that's desired to get a bit more prep space, like a spot for the wine serving or coffee maker. Cabinet maker and equipment supplier will be big helpers for ideas in this small space. I'd be sure the cabinets ran to the ceiling with extra storage up high.

@pbacot said: I'd like aN "airtight and breathable assembly", but not sure what that means. @pbacot Yeah, of the face of it, that doesn't make sense but I imagine what is meant is that vapor only is allowed to escape. @Majid I've replied to you on PM.

I used to have them when my old job paid for everything... but now with Creative Cloud! Lots of clients require .INDD or .PSD so no choice really, industry typecast I still use gimp and also Sketch is becoming a lot more popular. EDIT: sorry mis-read. I have used the tablet version and its really the best, but I figured you meant the desktop version hence saying using CC/Sketch. But yes on iPad did find this to be cool, we had a Beta version. I also like Procreate but depends on how far you need to go and you really need the iPad pro and pencil https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/procreate-sketch-paint-create/id425073498?mt=8

Yeah, that troubleshooter is good at identifying if there is a problem, but can never identify exactly what the problem is, which means its a failure as a troubleshooter. All-in-all, I think Windows 10 is more trouble than it's worth. Makes me glad I didn't upgrade my home computer.

@miikka1978 said: Has anybody any experience in creating miniature or scale model out of Sketchup models? I would need to create different size scale models, lets say size: 30cm x 30cm x 30cm or 50cm x 50cm x 50cm that are industrial equipment or heavy machinery/vehicle models. I would say that the material should be plastic, aluminum, etc. Do you know any companies who can make these from Sketchup models? You mean you just want to make a model to 'scale' or you need to export the SU model to a file to be printed or milled?

That's exactly what the shadows were doing, David. I can't say it really emotional for me or my co-worker, but we didn't have totality. It was very fascinating, nonetheless.

The difference is mainly accuracy. Example: two pixels in a "ramp". Bumpmap represents them as a stair. Normalmap tells the engine wich direction they are facing, thus represents them as ramps. Again normal maps are really worth if for game engines as people keep zooming in and normal maps work better, while at still rendering zooming in a lot isn't that usual. Both still show artifacts at subtle bumpiness levels, but that is minimized with higher bit depth images like 16bit or 32bit images

Keep in mind that the different rendering programs each have a "special" way the standard material from SketchUp is interpreted and / or enhanced, but these settings are not compatible with other rendering software, thus you would have to figure out and document an exact way to set various materials / textures in different rendering programs then render them to see how the end results compare.

Guys I have just deleted the link to HDRI"s I posted Sorry but they contain some sort of virus The site is called emotion HDRI"s when to use the HDRI it will do about 6 render cycles and then focus in on a texture and "No Emotion" will be displayed on that zoomed in on texture. Suggest you get rid of anything you downloaded ASAP (edited) That was a false alarm. I do not know what happened with my first render, but I have downloaded a few HDRI;s and rendered with no issues. In fact they seem like vert good quality and work well. http://noemotionhdrs.net/

This lesson must be learned with materials used in particular being essential. Apparently the regulation only requires the outer face to be fire resistant NOT the inner face which strikes me as an epic fail from the start. I am talking about the cladding.

Hi. It was modeled with sub division surfaces in Maya and animated with bones with inverse kinematics. Facial animation was made with blend shapes which is like you create different mouth shapes that you can morph between with sliders. The rain was just particles and I made it so that when the particles collided with the ground another bunch of particles were emitted upwards to simulate water splatter. Everything was rendered with MentalRay that at the time was at the frontline of rendering.

You don't pay to enter the raffle, you pay for premium membership, which enables you to enter the raffle as you still need to claim your entry, thus optional.
