@autokidd said: So heres a funny one, now that i rotated the texture in sketchup and sent it to kerkythea, I had to make some changes so i went back to sketchup, resent it to kerkythea with the shingles rotated to account for the wierd texture orientation and now it has turned the texture 90 degrees again in kerkythea, any ideas now? The short answer is No... It's not that I want to sound rude or anything, but I have no clue why this would happen... KT doesn't do anything to the UV-mapping applied... KT "reads" the 3D model and the settings applied... Like I said - it's an UV-mapping issue, but although SU isn't famous for the way it handles UV-mapping, I've never experienced anything like what you're reporting, so my best guess is that there's a rational explanation to this... Again - the best suggestion I can come up with is for you to post a 'skippy' where this problem is present and then I (and others) can try to debug it... Only alternative is that you can try to rotate your texture in KT, but I don't know how you've made the material...?!? [image: SKHR_KT-UV-coordinates.jpg]

Hello the trick of all that is this Put the joint orange(servo)to the piece orange then Group the Joint orange(servo) to the piece orange Only now use the "Joint Connector" from Servo orange to the "Parent" white!!! "Parent" white is previously made like this Put the joint violet(Hinge)to the piece violet(horizontal cylinder) then Group the Joint violet(Hinge) to the piece violet(horizontal cylinder) Only now use the "Joint Connector" violet Hinge to the "Parent" white (vertical pieces grouped)!!! (Input Name in Controller for initialize it) Rule is "put the joint to something"(not with the "connector"), "group the joint with the something", then "joint connector" the joint to a parent Have fun Sketchy Physics [image: 6DPD_concepta.jpg] roboticArmTest2.skp [image: nIrm_11s.jpg]

Hi Kim, Thanks for your reply. My SU2KT plug-in and folder were in the right folder and I had the last version. This morning I removed completly Kerkythea and all the plug-ins of the system and re-installed them for the third time. Now, all seem to be OK. I really don't understand what was the problem yesterday. Maybe I was in a kind of "twilight Zone". Thank you

Its hard to sya without having the model, but im guessing the wing details arent showing because te geometry isnt pronounced enough. If you make the gaps between the geometry a bit bigger that should accentuate it a bit, although youve got to be careful not to over do it.

I have a shapefile with building footprint features, each with a building height and ground elevation. I am trying to import it cleanly into Sketch Up, but am having some difficulties. I get the whole selection part etc etc. I choose elevation from the elevation field, extrusion from the height field, etc. etc. What happens whoever is that once the import is done and I am looking at it in Sketch up, most of it has not imported. I'd say that perhaps 25% of the footprints are showing & extruded. I haven't been able to figure out why some import and most don't - I am wondering if there is something wring with the attributes. Does anyone know if there are guidelines to be followed for the field type, length etc? Any input or ideas would be appreciated. (I'd post screenshops but I don't know how to). Any suggestions? Thanks (PS am relatively new here) ~ A

Well, scaling the model seemed to help quite a bit. Here is what I have, though Im still tweaking. Any suggestions, especially about getting rid of the burnout, but keeping the radius of light? [image: W02Q_20080603153052_23m14s.jpg]

Yes, it is a centrifugal pump. The hard part to draw is the discharge "Tube/pipe". Its diameter changes from where it connects to the body and ENLARGES significantly at the outlet end where there is a flange to which piping is connected (as shown with the red outline). Thus, the posting about whether the subdivision script could be used to speed up the drawing process of the discharge "Tube/pipe".

Sorry, it seems like I didn't explain myself properly. I have downloaded and installed Space design without any problem. But the part that calculates material is not there

@edson said: @thomthom said: When you download V-Ray material you need to relink the bitmap textures. and how does one do that? You have to examine the material in the V-Ray material editor. Whenever you see a large M inspect it and see if it's a Bitmap material. If it is, then you have to relocate the bitmap file on your computer. Once you've relinked a material you can export it. Then you don't have to reload the bitmaps every time you import the material.

[quote="jnnyyngz"]...I downloaded su2kt_3.0 and put the file in the sketchup plugin folder.../quote] Did you just put the zip file in the plugins folder or did you actually unzip it there? Also, if you unzipped it, did you check View (menu) > Toolbars > SU2Kerkythea (somewhere in the bottom)?

Hello Abe, Thanks for the answers, if you don’t mind I have a few more questions. On the site I saw a trial version for Max but not for SU, are there plans having one; would be nice to be able to play a little and then decide whether I want to purchase? In the free version of Hypercosm, section planes don’t seem to work while this option seems very necessary to me to have. I saw advertised that section planes are supported in the pro version. Could you say a little more about how this will work? Are section planes being switched on and off by changing scenes or styles or whatever? I saw mentioned that Hypercosm does not have a mac version, is there a mac player so that people can view the content on a mac or is that also still in the making? This Hypercosm thing seems very powerful and useful. I’m just trying to figure out what the best route will be of presenting my work to clients, this software seems to be a excellent choice, however it stands or falls with how popular this format will be; I guess it all depend on how many people are going to use it. Thank you for you time and answers. Kind regards, Robert

Oliver, Hi. I'm sorry, but there are no current plans to support Linux, although that could change if we receive requests for Linux support. We supported Linux from about 1999 through about 2001, but there just wasn't enough interest in a Linux based player to continue supporting the platform. From a technical standpoint, there are no major issues in supporting Linux again, it's just a matter of time and resources since it's another platform that we need to maintain and test as web browsers and operating systems continue to evolve. -abe. Artlantis has a clipping option. It is like a stretchable box, and everything outside it is hidden. Anssi
