Also this is super basic... but it's worth mentioning -- when you turn the Shadows on and off in Sketchup you are enabling or disabling the sun in your Maxwell environment... regardless of whether you had it initially turned on in the Maxwell settings. Best, Jason.

AHHH. I see. I am familiar with remote desktops and central based systems so I can see how the I pad can do that now. The simple fact that you can access your files anywhere anytime from one simple device is priceless! Is it very laggy when rotating a model? I always look forward to what they come out with next. Thanks

we should choose the 5 best plugin scripts writers who contribute their times over the years and reward them a dollar per member to show our appreciation of their hardwork. I am willing to contribute 5 if everybody on the board does it.

TWR doesn't have build-in motion blur, so you'll need to make this in post pro...

Paint.NET is a pretty straightforward, easy to use yet quite powerful freebie. I have more robust apps (like Gimp for instance, which is also free) but I have Paint.NET set as my image editor under Preferences > Applications in SU for quick editing of textures.

@tfdesign said: I tell you, Rhino is the AutoCAD killer for the Mac. It's so much faster than ACAD Mac. Thanks for the info Jeff. I was telling You - when You compare 30MB lighting faster Rhino with 1GB memory hog, slow and buggy AutoCAD...And v5 has improved their render a lot. And You gonna love Rhino layers - You can have sub-layers and sub-sub-layers - it is real tree structure. You can hide objects per layout viewport - not just by layers. And speaking of the pure 2 drawing capabilities - Rhino has much more drawing tools compared to AutoCAD. Not to mention the huge import-export file formats - truly open system, not like AutoCAD where they expect everybody to use only dwg format!

Hi Guys, Shameless plug for City Engine Vue. This is amazing technology for creating entire cities procedurally. Plus, it's available at an incredible price of $299 ($199 for C-Club members). The technology normally sells for $500 to $5,000. Here's a quick render I did in Vue with City Engine: [image: CityEngineScene2Cars.jpg]

True. @unknownuser said: Ge.tt is entitled to delete files which have not been accessed for a longer period of time. However, this deletion shall only take place after minimum 30 days have passed since the end of the last download. If a file has not been accessed for download, the minimum storage period of 30 days shall being with the completion of upload. Too bad. I have seen expired download links to texture packs and similar. It is cool for quick sharing/sending however.

Adam You are right but for the in-a-hurry Architect it does seem to fill a needed niche. Quick and dirty to get up and running and a no brainer to setup and output. Of course apps like your LightUP will do more and better but are not always needed for the Client et all in the Design Development phase of a project. Just a thought for the day. dtr

@d12dozr said: About navigating in a 3D PDF, I find those controls to work great for a looking at one part like that motor, but not as well for walking through a house. I'm guessing those controls are part of the Adobe PDF reader, but something like the Walkaround tool in Sketchup would be nice for navigating larger PDF's. Our aim in SimLab Composer is to make the model designer in control of the animation. The designer, selects the cameras to be included, and selects if they are animated or not. The camera can move along a path or it can automatically switch from one room to another. If the file recipient wants to investigate a view more, he can take control of the current view, after that usually he switches control back to the animation. The idea simply is to make the designer control the animation, I hope that this helps.
