      Hello all,

I've run into a bit of a bind which I can't find the solution to. I've downloaded models into SketchUp 7 to import it into UDK (Unreal Dev Kit) as a static mesh. This isn't the issue, as I can easily do that by exporting it as an .ase (ascii) file.

Where I do run into a problem, is grabbing the textures and applying them in UDK. I understand how UVW unwraps work, and can make templates. I can unwrap them, but I don't want to have to paint them all by hand. When I import the model into UDK the model appears, however it has no mesh on it. How do I get that mesh from SketchUp into UDK now? Is there supposed to be a .png, .jpg, or .bmp file with the model?

      Thank you in advance.

If you export as 3ds you will get the bitmaps extracted too. If they'll fit the UV maps in Unreal is another questions though... However, they do fit very well when importing the 3ds files into LW πŸ˜„

Well I can always assign the bitmaps in 3DS Max and then they are ported over to UDK. This video demonstrates that:

Thank you so much for this though! It has made things so much easier for me. What is LW though?
