Does TheaRender can works without Internet connection?

Yes
Only when you licence it does it go online to verify key and send you activation code. After that you can use it offline no problem

Octane can't works without Internet connection that is the one reason i didnt go for octane! my workstation dont have no internet connection! besides, internet activation is an overkill for each time u have to use an application!

Octane can't works without Internet connection We are debating on the Octane Forums [including 'hidden ones...] how 'we' might resolve that Internet connectivity requirement - it really to do with stopping piracy and not functionality...

I understand this TIG but there are two things:
- You know that you can never really stop piracy and there are (will be) cracked versions which work without this internet connection
- Developers want to stop/minimize piracy in order to raise income by getting users to purchase the legit product - however such limitations seem to rather alienate potential customers than encourage purchases.

Yes, that's exactly the point - why piss-off your 'real' customers just to limit some potential piracy, when those scum-bags will get a version of your application working anyway... Better to have some type of 'added value' associated with your products, that then makes the legit users want to pay you for that alone...

Actually, you can also activate offline by manually exporting/importing license file, but then you will need to email license for activation. Anyhow online activation is more fluid... After activation there is absolute no need for a internet connection. For online material db (to be released later) you naturally will need some internet connection, but most likely Thea will not need to be installed on that machine.
