@grdnblak said: I can't seem to figure out how to make your own lights for use within Kerkythea (not the spotlights or point lights that are readily available) i.e. like a neon or strip light. every time i think i have it sussed it appears as a spot or point light in kerky, any ideas how to do this? Hi Gordon! If you haven't done it already, I suggest that you download the Getting Started tutorial, which should help you achieve what you want to... I also encourage you to visit the KT Forum, where you can find many useful tips and tricks... I.e. take a look at the neon lamps for a industry hall thread or the neon lights thread... In KT2008 Echo, which will be released on Wednesday, January 30th, you have the option to use IES lights... To get an idea about what IES is, you can Google it or take a look here... Hope this can help you further..!?

You can remove individual textures by bringing up the Materials menu, selecting 'in model' (the House button) and then right click and deleting the textures one by one - I guess that could take a while if you want to remove them all though.

@unknownuser said: If you want your splitting plane to be parallel the any standard plane (red-green or red blue or green-blue), you may rotate the circle (before extrusion) or cylinder (after extrusion). Use 7.5° if the circle has 24 segments. The formula is 180 ÷ number of segments. Exactly...and that is what my skippy (and formula) are about. The whole idea is using the formula: number of sides of circle = any odd number * 2 is so that one doesn't need to rotate the circle after creating it. See the skippy example and you'll see. best regards, Chipp

Hi there, Just some thoughts: Make sure you don't have any odd characters in the image names. Make sure they are not longer than 8 characters (I'm not sure this is relevant but might be) Make sure you don't apply the textures on the back (blue) faces. You can check this by turning your render style in SU into Monochrome - if you see any back faces, it is bad. In the Export Options dialogue, check to export texture maps Apart from the above, when exporting texture maps, see that you have two options: preserving texture coordinates orwelding vertices. If there are no curved faces in your model, you're lucky and choose the first option. If you do, follow Chris Fulmer's tutorial quoted in this post (you may find that thread useful also).

Gaieus, That works too. What I had been doing was single-clicking once (click and release) on a grip, dragging it out, and then typing my numbers. Your way… click (don’t release) drag out… then release… works. Figures I’d find the one way it doesn’t work first, while trying to learn the program’s features!

OK, thanks. I know some features do not change with the axis change (they stick to the original global axes) I didn't remember this was one.

@j_forrester said: Thanks for the replys, as for the second request I was trying to extrude multiple polygons in one go instead of having to extrude to a specific height then have to double click the next polygon to extrude to the same height. Basically I wanted to be able to pick say 1o different polygons and extrude them all in one go. Thanks again. Sounds similar to what I had requested in this post http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=4606 A partial solution would be to explode the polygons (components) and extrude (move command, actually) them. Sorry to only offer a partial solution!

@wo3dan said: @pagan said: @gaieus said: Hi Pagan, You can always enter a number (degree) of rotation without needing to orbit anywhere. HI! But how, enter where? Pagan, Rotate the model in the right direction. It does not matter at what angle. Now immediately type 30 and hit enter (look at the VCB right bottom of screen, it should be white to accept input). This 30 degrees will be the final rotation. Wo3Dan Thank you very much, this is what I need. Gaieus thanks too, that could come handy. Thank to all.
