• RE: Incomplete texturing - any suggestion?

thanks a lot for your quick reply modelhead.

i don't honestly know how that scaling issue could happen.

about the texture, if you mean the people i could find a day with less people; but everything else (like the porches, or however they're called) is always there.

in the meanwhile i noticed the google team updated the photos of the GE terrain with higher resolution ones, so i will have to adjust the shape of the building a little bit.

• Incomplete texturing - any suggestion?

Hi guys!
about two months ago i uploaded a model for GE to the 3D Warehouse. now it finally got reviewed.
the review says it wasn't accepted due to incomplete texturing; to me it looks like the only thing to which this could be referred is the roof, because i used the ge terain's material for it. what do you think?

i also tried to post my model here, but i don't know how to post it, since the "post your model" button only leads to the page with the posted models. am i doing something wrong?

thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Well if you look at it like that i guess your right πŸ˜„ but if you look at my cars (well the recent ones anyway) I make them with mostly only one tool: the line tool and if you use it right it will get you some pretty good results. Oh and when i was using it sometimes it woulsd generate a car with the rear panel stretched out like an airplane so yeah.

it's pretty hard to build them ONLY with the line tool! πŸ’š

You can do this in both apps manually.

mmm...i think the best way is to crop the final image.

Kerkythea can do this... πŸ˜‰

On the frontpage of the Getting Started - KT2008 Echo tutorial, you can see an image made using a KT render and a direct SU export merged together... πŸ˜‰
<!-- ia0 -->GS-SU2KT.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:2djtlhwc]
Perhaps equally important to note... It's very simple to do actually... πŸ˜„

As you may know, the scenes you create in SU will get exported as camera positions in KT...
So if you export a 2D graphic from SU and you render the same scene in KT, you'll get identical images, which you can merge in a post pro... πŸ˜‰

what if i want to change the dimensions?

Nice work. Every thing in small space needs to have multi function. The stairway in your concept is really taking up lots of space.

what do you suggest? a spiral staircase?
