@dave r said: Yes. I found that works. I was just advising that one shouldn't just set a very small Near value and expect it to work for all camera positions.

I checked the .dwg file and when regenerated, the linework intersects in those locations, however, there are gaps when the circles/arcs are simplified graphically, even when using autocad. So, there is an issue importing these elements I did try Didier's projections and Thom Thom's edge tools and still having a heck of a time getting faces formed. Even drawing new lines/edges is not helping. Are there any tricks in prepping the .dwg prior to import that will help?

Happy to help. I was mostly using Outliner to show how deep I was going in to the nested component. As long as you don't need the material or already have it saved in a local collection, deleting the material from In Model is a great way to unpaint things no matter what the material is applied to. Sometimes I get models from other people that are so screwed up, deleting the materials is the easiest way to deal them.

Here's their hand held unit, http://www.trimble.com/construction/DPI-8-Handheld-Scanner No experience with it. Then there is also their full size 3D scanners. Both create point clouds not images, but with the full size scanner, once it's done scanning, you can remove it from the tripod and using an adapter mount a camera and take pictures to cover almost 360°. This will give you images and can be used to colorize the point cloud also, though all in Trimble software of course.

Well, What a bummer. As I was just ready to purchase the Studio version and noticed that Bentley has changed the "bundling" and eliminated the free version all together. Any idea of how much for a package or have they gone subscription based?

I was demonstrate to other how to reduce size of endline. In my project i use predrfined dimension style. And copy it from scrapbooks window [image: h_1448934277_5087367_fffcaefa62.jpeg]
