      After paying for the subscription this past August, I immediately received a payment verification email and an additional email containing serial number and authorization code. Turns out they do not work for 2016 release. I have been on hold waiting for SU team member for nearly an hour.

      Has anyone else experienced this problem?

        Maintenance support responded by email with new License Number. Never received an updated email for new release and associated license info. Resolved tho. Now I have to get used to fly out dialogue boxes πŸ˜„

          OK, I must be missing something. I go to download the new version, 2016, it tells me my license is good to May 2016, however, it wants me to pay $120 to upgrade till 2017. So why pay the for each year, if they are going to charge again months before my year is up?

            I have the same issue. License not accepted even though my maintenance payment was only a week ago. Email to Trimble coming up.

              Kudos to Trimble for replying to my email and sending the 2016 license number within two hours. They said they are in the process of sending out the 2016 licenses as we speak.

                Yesterday I had the same issue with current valid 2015 license not being accepted. I went back to the SketchUp website, went to the section about licensing entered my details and received an e-mail with my 2016 licencing within seconds.

                This morning I get the rollout e-mail with license details, with additional info that currently licensed 2015 installations will remain valid once 2016 license is validated with an installation, new 2015 installations will only be accepted for another 30 days.

                I suppose all should be fine, I hardly ever have to revert back to an earlier install, but this kind of rubs me the wrong way still.

                  I received an automatic email with my 2016 licence wich was still inside the 2015 maintenance period. It took them less than one day from the official launch so that I received the email. Better than this, only if they'd "synchronized swatches"!

                    Lucky you. The last few times, the re-sellers in the Netherlands took about 3 to 4+ weeks to finally generate the codes. Day 1 and counting...

                      That's why I ditched the relationship I had with my reseller here in Portugal. Most of the times the new Sketchup version was already out and they were only being informed about it by me.

                      I think trimble is efficient enough and an email and direct download link is enough.

                      I certainly don't need Support from the reseller. Sketchucation is more support than any reseller can provide!

                        Totally agree. I tried switching to Trimble directly last year but they forwarded me to a local reseller 😞
                        Still have to play more with v2016 and decide to renew the subscription or just take the extra fine somewhere in 2019.

                          contact the local distributor if the reseller is not responsive.
