A feature-rich SketchUp point cloud plugin for fast & easy scan data import from any 3D laser scanner, UAV drone or photogrammetry software.

It's pricey at 500/yr but there is a trial for 14days.

I'd watch the videos first to see what transforms it can do.

Point clouds are normally displayed as guidepoints. As long as you don't delete guides they should remain visible. You can combine them into a component or group and give the group a tag. Then you can control whether the point cloud is visible in a given scene.

PDF's handle different pages sizes just fine. However you may have a valid argument with printers having difficulty with different page sizes, well I would imagine older types of printers anyway.

The original @Last / Google plugin worked well - especially when exporting a TIN (Terrain Model) from ArcGIS to SketchUp.
FAST export of Terrain models with no holes / slivers etc. It gave a very good result.
It was extremely useful.
This functionality (TIN Export) seems to have disappeared using the method described in the link you posted.
Comments from other users at that link seem to support this view.

To learn more, how to generate 3skeng compatible groups & components open the 3skeng client, click on the tab “tutor”. Hover over the three grey vertical lines on the right side and click on the play button. This will open a window with an overview of all tutorials. See the lowest section “Advances use”

He's trying to read data from .skp files on disk - not within SU Ruby API.

In the days of DOS we used ...... to go up levels in directory trees.

A similar feature for DCs in the future would be really good eg

Parent!Parent!Parent!Attribute1 - ie a way to navigate up levels in RELATIVE terms
