Why would anyone thrust "Google"? I have a UTube account that I use to post a few videos. Somehow UTube knows what my "off the wall" preferences are, even though I don't use UTube to search for those subjects. My Mom once told me "it's not your enemies that hurt you, you know who they are, and avoid them. It's your friends, those that you thrust that get to you". Problem is, it doesn't help to know this.

Jim, that's like my problem with "save animation" that refuses to work on one of my machines. At least you have a "work around". Sometimes I loose minimized windows under the task bar, but those can be found.

SketchUp is a 32bit application - it has therefore limitations to how much memory it can address. If you're on 32bit Windows, or an older SU version, then you can address only 2GB. If you have recent SketchUp 8 and 64bit OS then you can address 4GB. I've had some very large models - but I've never had anything consume 1.5GB!! o_O How many faces and edges does your model contain? I've only ever seen SU use that much when I was rendering with V-Ray. And that was then really V-Ray using the memory.

Anssi Thanks Anssi! I got caught myself in that marketing trap, I guess... Now I downloaded the free version.

Doubtful that it will be anytime soon, as cleanup seems to be doing fine for the last few months. Once again, thanks for all the hard work, and generosity. Yea - and the ToolObserver doesn't give the name of the Ruby tool in use. (AFAIK) I think most plugins doesn't use a tool - which is why I think you have to hook into the menu and toolbar commands. (I could be wrong. Maybe there is a way...)

TWR doesn't have build-in motion blur, so you'll need to make this in post pro...

Also Jim's Model Location plugin. [image: ss.jpg] It's an ancient one from the time when adding manual location was not possible in the free version of SU. Time to dust it off?

@unknownuser said: So, you mean to start from a horizontal base and go up? Yup,Just trace over a hanging cloth picture and pull the geometry up,then divide a bit the surface and play with the lines a bit,can t be that hard. @unknownuser said: Sorry, I don't have much experience (and intuition - which is developed by experience, after all ) in modelling organic stuff. It's my first cloth modeling too, although is not actually a cloth is more like a messy mesh and a texture applied to it,but is good for visualization because is so poly less and looks pretty real(it s not good enough for the main object in a render though).

How practical is this? With metaboxes You have fixed sizes and You can build models with all of them and resize with FredoStretch as needed- they change only width. I prefer to put all the production data at the panel level and not to bother building cabinets as a DC components - to much hassle. For kitchen cabinets You usually change only the width - height and depth are constant. And this is easily achievable with FredoStretch. And using the hardware this way only adds complexity to the model and to the whole building process - the clients are more concern about the overall look, price and they want the price to be calculated in no time. In the shop a good selection of drilling jigs will do the rest. You can reduce the sizes of the textures and use only one for the panels and the edges - just apply them at the surface level and rotate and resize as needed - this I learned from Dave R - thanks, Dave!
