@noduhduh said: Only other thing I changed was instead of making my cylinder finished height (2"), I made it taller than needed and just intersected it at 2" instead. Come to think of it, that's probably what did it? It's generally easier to do this kind of thing if you add plenty of excess length so it's easier to select and erase the unwanted geometry. And it's not like the excess geometry is costing you anything.

Your plants are in naturally dark areas of the room which would make them darker, increasing contrast may help but you have not told us what render program you use.

@renandez22 said: Problem: Fredo Corner defaults all chamfers on 3d objects (two surfaces meeting at an edge) to a 45 degree angle. Anyone know how to change this to a 25 degree or what tool can be helpful for 3d objects. For chamfer to work on corners with 3 edges or more (e.g. a true corner), the profile needs to be symmetrical. If this is just to chamfer borders of a shape, then this is more a kind of followMe, and whether with the native tool or with Profile Builder by Whaat, you should make it with no difficulty.

[quote="Deivis1992"] Do you always do that with more difficult shapes? It really depends on the final use of the model and how much detail I want. Sometimes just having the approximate dimensions and "eyeballing is fine".

@just4lynne said: ...So How did you get the circle drawn at the Axis ? Hi - select the circle tool and place your cursor near the origin point. The Cursor will now snap to the origin. Now please "play" with the 4 cursor arrows on your keyboard. The circle tool will then show up in your desired orintation color (for example red) [image: s52d_cursorarrows.jpg]

Please complete your profile so we know your OS and SketchUp version. It looks like the "Solar North" tool's orange marker, which indicated where north is set in the model. It's an Extension available from the EWH... https://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/solar-north It has a Toolbar which allows you to set the angle, show/hide its marker etc... The orange marker looks unusually 'high'. If you switch on the Axes in View are they logically located ? If you have changed them, then hover over one and choose 'Reset Axes from the context-menu. It's normal to have the origin placed somewhere logical like at the model's lowest level, and on a corner... Probably best to switch all Layers ON and View>Hidden-Geometry On, then select all and move the model to the axes' origin...

No problem-sometimes you just need something specific and if its something a client already has or will buy, it makes the model personal. It doesn't have to be a pillow shape for the image file as long as its a clear, flat (no distortion)view of the fabric

'Save as' sketchup file back to a version 8 file, then import to Max. In material editor, use eyedropper to bring up the multi-sub material in slate editor. you can then swap out/edit the materials. (I would recommend grouping your geometry in sketchup instead of loose geometry.) You can also export .3ds from sketchup and choose 'by material' under export options. Things with the same material will be grouped. You can follow same procedure and swap out materials. Of course in both cases you'll need to add a UVW modifier.

Il y a aussi la solution d'importer le SKP dans le Free PConPlanner! Puis d'exporter en OBJ!

It looks like you have the first two scenes working just fine. Scene 1 shows a red cube, scene 2 shows green. I'm not sure what your plan is but you have 12 copies of the green cube on Layer 2. [image: Zm3e_Screenshot-3_20_201911_22_23AM.png] You've also managed to assign edges and faces of the green cubes to layer 2 instead of Layer 0 where they belong. I've fixed the layers problem, removed 11 of the green cubes leaving just one, made a copy of the cube, painted its faces blue and assigned it to Layer 3 and now it all works just fine. Scene 1 [image: iHXT_Screenshot-3_20_201911_32_16AM.png] Scene 2 [image: 5fv5_Screenshot-3_20_201911_32_26AM.png] Scene 3 [image: TuQy_Screenshot-3_20_201911_32_36AM.png] If you want to place copies of the same group in the exact same position but on different layers, try it this way. Original group created on Layer 0. Create the number of layers you need and name them appropriately. Turn off their visibility. Select the group. Hit Ctrl+X to cut it to the clipboard. Hit Edit>Paste in place. A keyboard shortcut is a good idea for this. Immediately change its layer association to the first layer. It'll disappear because that layer's visibility is turned off. Hit Edit>Paste in place again. A new copy of the cube will appear. Assign the next layer in the list to it. Rinse and repeat until you have copies of the component on each of the desired layers. Set up your first scene with the first layer visibility turned on but all the rest turned off. Create the scene. Turn off the first layer, turn on the second. Create the next scene. Repeat until you have all of the scenes created.

The panorama file output is a new option in the Renderer that I used - Brighter3D so I don't think the plugins would affect anything but I'll have a look-thanks.

I am setting up a folder under /documents so that it can be accessed from what ever version I am using. Do not want to lock it into any particular version. I have some materials set up that way as well. After some looking around, I think that strange color may have been in a component I inheritance from someone else.
