@tig said: Please remember that SCF has nothing to do with Google. If you sent the request just 2 days ago remember that it's still the weekend! Perhaps you'll hear soon next week... OK. Thanks. I was just surprised that I didn't get the usual auto-reply saying the message was received.

If I may, I'll pass on something that works well for me. I have broken down the threads into a small component. that is then copied multiple times. That way I can reuse the threaded section and easily adjust its length. [image: 4484626412_c316a75d8c_m.jpg] This wood screw was drawn to be 2" long but I can quickly change it to be any length I need. The threads are separate from the rest of the screw and the threads are made up of multiple instances of the same component. I can add or subtract instances as need to make the length adjustment. [image: PipeClamp1-1.jpg] I did the same sort of thing for the threads on this pipe clamp. I can then make an acme threaded screw any length I wish. Edited to add this image. I was looking for it earlier to add as a reference and couldn't find it. [image: 5662968502_1dc00d333b.jpg] The round head screw was made in a few moments from the flat head screw and the T-bolt was made from the hex head cap screw on the far right.

Hi, I feel confident about Sketchup but I'm already starting my story with 3ds max. I've opened my .skp file in 3ds max and I'm wondering where I can edit materials that are already imported from sketchup? (I watched couple of tutorials on materials, bought a book and even read a manual about materials in 3ds Max but I have enough of looking for it by myself). Please help me..

Check that you are not importing it with the original CAD origin [untick 'preserve origin' in options] - this might be the 'other side of the country' and therefore mess with Sketchup/OpenGL's graphics - as very very large and very very tiny dimensions cause havoc...

I posted an AHK script to resize the SU drawing area (minus toolbars, tabbars,) rather than window size. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=30720 Wreaks havoc on your Toolbars...

I suggest you repost in the tool's own thread - you're more likely to get a response - also see if you get error messages in the Ruby Console, provide screen shots of settings etc, as there are many possible causes, and Fredo is not psychic...

Hi Guys, I can make the radius on the edges real quick now though if i have an archway i have too many segments and there is to much work to align the texture around. Is there any pluggin or method to reduce the segmentation? [image: Fk07_segments.jpg]

Use the command bar; Window - Model Info - Units - length Units = set max percision Window - Model Info - Units - length Units = diable lenght snap Window - Model Info - Units - Angle Units = set max percision Window - Model Info - Units - Angle Units = diable lenght snap. Aline reference axes to front and side edge of object by using the toolbar Axes tool. if object has no tangent line then use the toolbar circle tool to make a tangent plain. Set veiw to front view by using the toolbar front view tool. 5)Draw lines or guide lines as need. Have fun

No. they don't sell licenses for older versions but it will just revert to the free version of SU6 when your 8 hours of eval time are consumed. No big deal since you've got V8.

Short answer, I think, yes there is. I want to say it is Smart Drop. First look in Plugins Index above- red button at top of page. Then, if not there, perhaps Ruby Library Depot. You may also be able to do this with Drape? Stamp? in the Sandbox Tools?

From your specs and model size you should not have memory issue unless you are using grahics vs what you noted with large memory or maybe dual monitors. Their memory gets subtraced from what you can use because w7 till maintains compatibility with x32 that cannot use extended memory address space above the 4gb limit Chack the two items of page two on this link especially the one about unchecking max memory use http://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-devices/5816-windows-7-64-bit-ram-issue-2.html

IMVU = chat, games, social type site thing with avatars IMVU Home - for all those of us that have no clue what IMVU is. Now, on to the question. Sounds like an IMVU problem. Is there a way to specify that the image should not "tile" in IMVU?

The Logo Contest might be kinda fun tho. Since people would know this isn't actually going to be used by Google they could go nuts with it.
