Yes I know that and use it a lot. I think it can be useful to get this intersection separate to create new geometry to connect two volumes. I used to redraw this intersection by hand to get this, if I'd know!

I think you can get this result with layers in the gimp or photoshop. Yo make a realistic render and overlay a line drawing from sketchup.

Hi All, Sorry, I completely forgot to post how it all worked. Going forward, I think it would be a good idea to make sure you create a group or component of the geometry you've drawn before moving on to the next part of the model. This way you can prevent the problem you've experienced from even happening. Be systematic in your drawing. If you are drawing a trailer and then the ramp, make sure the trailer is a group or component before you start drawing the ramp. Or if you are drawing the individual parts of the ramp, draw one part and make it a group or component before moving on to the next part. Use components at least for parts that will have multiple instances or that you want to save for reuse.

Did It!!! Attached is my near perfect Carbon Fiber material. Not quite the weave I wanted, but good enough. I may do another weave pattern later on. I found a JPG of this large format constant contrast weave pattern that was buggered with a watermark and with repetitive line artifacts strewn throughout. Now THAT sort of stuff I know how to edit out, but not the contrast deviations (yet). The color was also off, easy to fix. In SU I again adjusted the overall color balance, because SU does not seem to follow the Gamma setup of my Photoline32, and the texture map came in way too dark. Free to all to use! You need to 'extract' the profiles/rails into a separate group and then do the EEbyRails. Get the same number of segments in the two rails and profiles. Split the top rail with the straight edge, then divide it so its segmentation mimics the curved edge rail.[image: xhWk_Capture.PNG]

Dear friends My questions are these: in one of the pics I mentioned exploding curve after follow me... question is how to avoid this(if its possible)? in another Ive shown two lookliked shaped which each of them was made by circle(not polygon) but afterward one of them( not converted one) act like polygon and Ive shown some line... question is : imagin Im workinbg with the left one and I need to remove lines (mentioned in pic) and I cant go back and convert it ...so what can I do to make it look like exactly the right one? 3.and in one another Ive shown one shape after extrude which the edge is not polyline and its like exploded(As is mentioned on pic)... question is how to avoid? and is there any easy way to select curved edge(except selecting all and deselecting)? its out of topic but I dont know why sometimes I have trouble with making polyline with weld which I will ask later( but if you have anything in mind I would be glad to be shared) Dear numbthumb, I didnt understand your solution.. if you could explain more I would be glad. Although I suspect that you want a specific tool that's within a set which contains several tools, we have no idea what it is you are trying to do. You need to explain a little more about what it is that you want, and what problems you are having - we will help you, but please help us too... Saying 'I'd love to be able to do it...' doesn't help! Do what?

You need Fredo's RemoveLonelyVertices http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=332047#p332047 It works fine - I just tested it in the same circumstances... Incidentally if the edges endpoints show up like that it's not a continuous curve - so has it been exploded ?
