      I am trying to import a DWG. file from Vectorworks- and it is coming into Sketch up all wonky- this has happened to me before- but I dont know how to fix it? Please help- want to become a sketch up master!

        Could you attach the dwg and the resulting skp files?

          Check that you are not importing it with the original CAD origin [untick 'preserve origin' in options] - this might be the 'other side of the country' and therefore mess with Sketchup/OpenGL's graphics - as very very large and very very tiny dimensions cause havoc...
