Working screen dimensions vs output dim?
-
I'm looking for a way to ensure my working screen within sketchup has the same dimensions so that when I use the model across different computers that have different screen dimensions I can ensure that what is visible in the scene will be the same.
I am aware that you can dictate the dimensions of required output via Vray for sketchup when rendering but the working screen when not the same does not ensure the same feel for preparing the screen as consistency does.
Recently I worked on one file across several computers and i was not able to achieve consistant results.
Is there a way of locking the screen to a certain dimension?

Your problem is going to be that users can add their own toolbars [large or small] around the Sketchup window and that will affect the actual rendered image pane size.
Assuming you enforce all of that consistently then getting everyone to use the same screen resolution and maximize the SUp window should give approximate results - but across OSs the borders of the windows etc might also differ slightly!
There are several 3rd party apps to set window size, but not for panes within windows as far as I know. E.G. Free Sizer = http://www.brianapps.net/sizer/ ....
Because you haven't supplied any version/OS details exact help is unlikely to appear magically. -
I posted an AHK script to resize the SU drawing area (minus toolbars, tabbars,) rather than window size.
