Sometimes I do preserve the origin if it seems to help bring the raw DWG file into the SU workspace. It really just depends on the file I am sent-- sometimes they are way out in outer space, sometimes not. I did find a workaround in the survey software I am using though.. If I import the DWG file, I can just create a point on the geometry of a known point that I know should line up with one of the imported points from the CSV file.. Once both sets of data are imported and misaligned, I can use an option to reposition one the imported points to the newly created one, thus aligning both of the data sets (point cloud and DWG geometry). Thanks for you help. It does give me a clearer understanding of the origin point that I did not have before today. Ive been using this for surveying for quite some time, but this was the first time I was using actual GPS collected State Plane Coordinates in lieu of just creating all of them locally in SU. Ive been using a traditional Total station and or robot, but the introduction of new GNSS system threw me for a loop and forced me to explore areas of the software Ive never had to. Made my brain stretch.. Thanks again.

Fredo6's - Fredo Scale plugin should do this using the Radial bending tool. You will find it in the Plugin Store along with plenty of guidance on using it. I would suggest making a copy of the roof element as a spare before starting. Good luck!

@bheast bhoy said: WILL I BE ALBLE TO OPEN THE IOS SKETCHUP FILE FROM WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM SKETCHUP?? The .skp files created by SketchUp are compatible with both Windows and MAC versions of SketchUp. Though you need to be aware that .skp files can be opened only by the same or later versions of SketchUp than the version of the one you created them with. E.g.: You can not open an .skp file saved by SU 2020 as a v2020 .skp with SU 2018.

I am running the latest version in trial mode. And managed to find a solution myself late last night. DAE is basically a text file you can edit with any text editor. I changed the material*.tif to my original JPGs and got it working.

All I see are doors when I search for them. [image: PQZ0_Screenshot-12_7_202010_56_54AM.png] Under Collections I see things like kitchen cabinets but those are collections created by users and they've added the word 'doors' as a keyword.

Can you show us what you are seeing? It could be that you've turned on Back Edges. Press k again to turn them off. Or it could be that you're seeing a dashes style because you've assigned a dash style to a Layer/Tag

Thanks. Installed that (which I've used on 2017) before finding the old ruby. "Erase Stray Edges" works the same way. So far installing plugins in SU 2021 has been relative a piece of cake. Including the payware without even having to re-register any licenses. @dave r said: You might want to have a look at Thom Thom's CleanUp3. It can clean up more than just unneeded edges.

Thank everyone for your answers, all very helpful. @dav_id said: The only sketchup's extension i knows is that one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uqvPu7fp_0 with constrains ... but it's an old plugin -I will take a look at that Driving Dimensions Plugin, thanks for your help Dav_ID! @ken said: Not sure this will help but have you tried Profil Builder 3, Assembly Dialog? https://profilebuilder4sketchup.com/category/assembly/page/3/ -That Profile builder looks promising, I haven't seen it before, thank you Ken! @shawb said: @andres2688 said: Hope there is some extension coming soon to solve this issue. I fear you will be waiting a long time for this! Apart from making the DC Component Attribute panel a bit easier on the eye you will always have to somehow program each element of the DC to do what you want it to do. As the designer (of the DC) only you know how the parts should interact. AutoCad and Revit were mentioned earlier in the thread. It's probably ten years since I used either of those but do recall that Revit 'Families' (equivalent of DCs) were far more difficult to build than Sketchup DCs but they used a similar syntax/language and method to provide the instructions for making them work. In AutoCad I used Dynamic Blocks which provided constraints but, again, the input required was akin to what you would use in SU DCs. I'm relying on memory to comment here and have not used the Parametric version of AutoCad, maybe there is now something better than I remember! Rather than a plugin to directly replace the DC Attribute interface, perhaps some form of graphic based workflow would help. Something in Excel maybe? Design the DC logic on another platform before tying your DC in knots within SU! -Maybe I didn't explain well myself. The tools that I miss from AutoCAD are the ones from the Parametric tab. It allows you to pick a line and set it to be paralell to another one, or just set a rigid dimension on an object that won't change when moved. They seem to be quite intuitive to me, I used to use them a lot. When you mentioned Excel I remember binding a sheet to an AutoCAD drawing in order to change an objects dimensions, that was quite interesting too. I cannot say much about Revit families since I didn't work so much with them, I tried to make a hinge door and it took me long time, it seemed more complicated to me than Sketchup. Thanks for your time Shawb ! Cheers

Your point cloud is too dense in some parts and this defeats the interpolation. I would suggest that you clean it up by discarding a few points, at least those which are very close with different altitudes. Anyway, here is the result for the simple Delaunay Triangulation. [image: 6pCj_TerrainCheylardtriangulation.png] A little bit shaky, but enough to extract isocontours and generate the terrain with a quadmesh style. [image: Rgej_TerrainCheylardquadmesh.png] Both are enclosed in the attached model (SU2017). terrain Cheylard - triangulation.skp Fredo
