The PC that is working properly is running Windows 7 and Sketchup 8. The materials libraries in the new (old) PC are showing up in Kerkythea. I was going to remove both Sketchup and Kerkythea and then reinstall, but for some reason Kerkythea is not even showing up when I try to add/remove programs.

I don't know if we have the same problem, base on what I have experienced, it also appears the moment I click Save As or Ctrl S.. What I did was I access Windows defender, click Settings, Click the Virus & threat protection settings, look for the Controlled folder access and turn it off.. Maybe it will solve your problem..

I called my friend who has a cnc plasma cutter in his business and he says that it is only accurate to .5 degrees on a small part like this just because of the slag burn off!

TIG and mitcorb thanks for your reply. Well I didn't find this to be a major problem. However, I am trying to track down why my Ver 2013 seems to crash more that others, so I have been on a hunt to find the reason. Note that was happening on my old XP laptop. Ver 2013 on my laptop, with XP was almost unusable. However, last week the company gave me a new computer with Win 7 pro. So I just loaded Ver 2013 and re-installed all plugins which I wish to use. So far so good. Thanks TIG for the info about the plugin "simple_loft_loader". And the above line leads me to another question, just how many plugins are duplicated, such that there are excellent, good and mediocre plugins that have the same objectives? Ok, going to stop worrying about the extra save. Got work. Again thanks for the input. Ken

it would work better if you made the road planar first and then extended and intersect the centerlines to the real road. tools on surface could make it easier to do on a non planar road that you've already built.

The Plugins folder in SketchUp 8 will be under Program Files/Google/Google SketchUp 8/. You must make sure you have full permissions established for the Plugins folder before you can install plugins there. If the plugin was downloaded as a ZIP file, you must extract the contents of the file to the Plugins folder making sure you respect the file structure inside the ZIP file. If you don't the plugin won't work. Specifically, which plugin are you referring to and where did you get it?

Have been hunting for this - so hard to animate wheels on a vehicle and render it. Simfonia animation does this loopable rotation but doesn't play nice with renderers. Have we had any progress in this sphere since this thread began? I'm in need of loopable animation now.

The free version of Maxwell only lets you do small images of your renders. I have a $99 upgrade that allows me to do large images. I'm not sure what Pro gives you.
