      Hi all,

sorry if this kind of question have been asked before πŸ˜›

How is it to make our curvy road get well textured? surely we can go manual, but i remember watch some youtube tutorial about use some plugin to make this kind of scenario get done faster; not to sure, but maybe involve curviloft in some way..

Thanks before for the response πŸ˜„

Massimo has a good tip there... Myself, if I had to do it and wanted to go native sketchup, I would draw the center-lines with geometry and then use the geometry to make a texture or several. Then deleting the geometry and adding the texture. or if the model was light on geometry, you could skip the texture and just stick to geometry with no edges.

Thanks guys; would dig the sketchUV soon.
The manual approach is good for non-planar road i assume kris?

Found alvydas method using curviloft and fredo thrupaint here; and it work like charm on planar but not on one with difference elevation...

it would work better if you made the road planar first and then extended and intersect the centerlines to the real road. tools on surface could make it easier to do on a non planar road that you've already built.
