Ok, Gang, Re-Verified - Icon size large option was checked. I deleted all older extensions, and moved all the newest ones to the proper User....Plugin folder where they should have been all along. Then installed them through the Sketchup extension manager Then I located where all the extension toolbar icons are that are coming in as too small. As mentioned there are a 12x and a 24x png image in each reference folders Here's what the GUESSING BEGINS? (Please let me whats wrong!!!!, probably everything!!!) Im guessing the 12x is linked to the Sketchup small Icon choice and the 24x to the large icon check box? As I dont want to mess with the creators code... I took a 24x icon did a (Save-As) and made a 48x icon in Photoshop. -Because it is more "blurry" I cleaned and sharpened it than saved it into the location of the developers 12x and 24x location. -I am guessing in the code it links to whatever the 12x image is to the small icon choices -And if you check the large icon "box" it grabs and uses the 24x -So since I have limited knowledge, to link the new 48x icon is out of my abilities....but -A can do a (Save-As) of the 24x icon and save it as (24xoriginal) so the paths will ignore it,(And I can put it back if it doesn't work). -Then rename the 48x image as 24x, so setup pathways will pick this 200% larger image. ????? There's nothing wrong. There's nothing to fix. It isn't painting the back faces when you paint the component/group container. You shouldn't be painting the component/group container. You should be painting the faces. If you do, all of the container will show the material. Also, if you paint the container you won't have the option to adjust the orientation of the material. You must paint the faces to have that ability.

Yes please. Sketchup's current inability to automatically collapse unused tray space is the main reason why Sketchup's old windowed UI behaviour is still preferable.

Well the way I make a surface a plane is to use the rotated rectangle, pick three points that should lay on the same plane. This makes a rectangle that is a least a flat plane to three of the points. Then I offset the rectangle until it covers the area I wish to cover, then intersect with model, and pesto, a flat plane. Note, if the flat plane does not connect to all the edges, you will need to move the plane to connect to all the other surfaces, or modify the surfaces that don't connect to the plane. Ken

With many roofing patterns I found the material was made correctly in the first place. Just a "Reset position" under Texture in the contextual menu will will set it right

They are definitely guidelines. However, I solved the problem by changing to the wireframe option in the Styles menu, select all, then View>Hide and switching back to the default styles. Lines gone.

No, what I mean is either you do as rich suggested, which is the proper 3d way, or you do it with a line (axis) and it rotates 180 around that axis.

It can be done without a plugin or extension. First, the material needs to be applied to the faces and not the group or component. Expose Hidden Geometry, right click on a single face and choose Texture>Position. Rotate it as needed. Then turn off Hidden Geometry, use the Materials eye dropper to sample the material where you just rotate it and then immediately click the paint bucket on the surface to apply that material orientation. Alternatively, you can apply the material to another face in the model that would get the same orientation and sample that before applying it to the curved surface. 2017 VERSION, ITS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I UPDATED ON DAY ONE OF 2017 BEING AVAILABLE. LAST WEEK I UPDATED TO LATEST VERSION AS HOPED THIS WOULD SOLVE IT BUT IT HASNT. NOT WORKED OUT HOW TO CHANGE PROFILE DONT COME ON HERE THAT OFTEN ANYMORE. NO NEW PLUGINS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED.

You also need View > Hidden Geometry ON so that you can see the 'smoothed' lines and the individual facets forming the surface are shown, and thereby also made selectable separately...
