What is the button's assignment in the Wacom control panel? Did you recently upgrade the drivers? If it had been working well before and just suddenly stopped, you need to look at what has changed. SketchUp didn't change--they don't send out automatic updates like Apple does, for example--so you should look elsewhere. Did you update the OS version recently? What version are you running?

Unless you saved the file at some point to create an initial SKP file, I don't think the autosaved untitled file gets saved.

I have no idea what happened before I got the file but when I got it I found things were 'upside down', so components were coming in on their top not their base. So I did reset the axis and flipped the house upside down. So Now: I have reset the axis and I find it is 'in the sky' and a long way behind the house. So I have moved the house to the original axis and I can now see the the back-front faces of the house are off by about 7.86 degrees. I have adjusted it and now all is good I think. Thank you TIG for pointing me in the right direction. Liz

You must have a suitable object selected before this tool will appear in the right-click > context-menu... Assuming that it's been properly installed... what are you selecting prior to seeing if the tool appears - or not... Re-read the usage notes here... https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=TIG_Descaler

... obviously not a simple geometry and a not yet clarified geometry I measured any angle of tilt of the balustrade (somewhere down) with about 14°. If this inclination were 14° throughout, the slide would look like a broad funnel but a coplanar surface would be present at least. (please see files below) So I think that the tilt of the balustrade obviously varies and isnŽt coplanar?(second pic. = only schematically) Could you please integrate all existing DWGs into your model? Are there any other section drawings or better elevation plans available? [image: T9yG_Slidehx1.jpg] [image: r572_Slidehx2.jpg] Slide hx 1.skp

Yes. Curviloft could do it if you create some vertical separation between the inner and outer shapes. It would do it quite nicely.

TIG, I bow to your expertise, and will reinstall SU at some point. For now it is working well, no more SKB's, no problems. I still do not understand why, of the many times and many computers I have installed SU on over the years, without using "run as administrator", it did not cause problems with these installs. I am not questioning the wisdom or correctness of your advice and recommendations, I'm certainly not qualified to do that. I just like to understand the whys and wherefores of things when I can. I guess I could just chalk it up to being lucky, but that's just not the way things go for me Again, thanks Steve

@pbacot said: I quite disagree David. You apparently don't understand the point. It speeds up the process in most cases. Did you know that grouping avoids removal of edges for faces you want to keep and and makes selection simpler for editing complex shapes? It would have prevented the problem he was showing in the video. I did understand the point but I don't see how it speeds up the process he was showing. I didn't group the selection in my example and I didn't have the problem he had either. I also understand Box's point. Different strokes. I deleted my previous post.

@pipinek said: @gilles said: A quick method.... Note that you may have to modify camera angle and the distance of the POV to see all the "reflection". Merci beaucoup Gilles, c’est exactement ce dont j’ai besoin. I will digest it and make some exercises. The effect is really satisfying. At least this virtual one above. I you do not mind I will far probably allow myself to contact you for, eventually some precision and of course proudly show you the final result of my work within SU. You have mentioned at the beginning that this has been a quick way, what should be the 'slow' one? Is it possible to reduce a distance between the facade and the most far point of its projection on the horizontal surface in front of it, I mean the highest point project of the elevation? You have advised to use 0.001 scale factor, what if I use meters as units? I am really thankful for your elucidation such well illustrated, explained. I wrote " A quick method:" because it's fast. Scale as nothing to do with units, 0.001 is 1/1000 whatever the unit just to see the face and being able to manipulate it without over zooming. "Is it possible to reduce a distance between the facade and the most far point of its projection on the horizontal surface in front of it, I mean the highest point project of the elevation?" I set the Point Of View to see everything on the screen, but in reality do not forget that your eyes are not static and you can reduce the distance between the facade an the POV but what will you see on the screen? Experiment then feedback. Note: I won't have internet for a week, take your time. Happy new year.

Thanks for the hand holding Tig Repair sounded a lot better then re install! Looks like it helped, exporting is back to how it should be but those measurements are gone, but the problem is probably fixed!

@tig said: You might have a second Plugins folder unexpectedly set up in ProgramData path as well as your main Users Plugins folder which is always present. This extra path occurs when you have installed a plugin which has a custom installer and puts its files in there. Typically these are tools like renderers. Having extensions install in this secondary path makes it accessible and loaded for all users on that PC, unlike the User folder which only loads for the named user... Some experienced users also use tools like Fredo's AdditionalPluginsFolder which allow you to have an extra folder set up in their 'load_path' - thus also allowing selected plugins to load from a central repository. rather than the user's default Plugins folder... There is a known 'glitch' with the SCF AutoInstall when there are more that one folder available in your 'load_path'. A dialog opens and asks you to choose the destination for the RBZ's installation - initially highlighting the default User file - but on some PCs the button which must be used to confirm the destination is not visible, so the only option is to close the dialog - the equivalent of a 'cancel'. However, there's an easy one-off solution. If you grab the bottom edge of that dialog's frame, using the mouse cursor, and pull it downwards, by only a few mm, then the confirmation button becomes visible. Click it and all is good. Next time that dialog opens its previous size is recalled from the Registry , so then the confirmation-button is immediately available to click. Thank you. I'll try this first later & will report back

Oui, je vais peut-ĂȘtre tenter ça. Utiliser uniquement (dans un premier temps) le panneau structure et nommer tout. Il ressemble Ă  s'y mĂ©prendre aux calques Illustrator que je connait bien.
